I like to read what people write when they reblog but I’m a bit disappointed that there’s some hate for the new anime season and the whole hetalia come back. If you hate hetalia then don’t bother reblogging or commenting, what’s the point? do that on your own post and not on others. If you think the animators could have done better animation, then buy dvd, manga, cd, official merch to help them financially. I mean do you know how bad the animation industry is with minimum age and how they treat animators? Please don’t make the whole came back a bad thing just because you didn’t wished for it or wasn’t the way you wanted to be.
Some comments that I found may be jokes that I didn’t quite get because of a language barrier. But let’s not ruin the come back and support the animation and the publishing company. Let’s make the fandom a good one with no wars or arguments. Please.

anyway. some plot thoughts:
I don’t think I’ve hated a character on sight as much as Tholomyès since Anatole in War and Peace, and it turned out to be just as justified for exactly the same reason. what. a. dick. already an absolute rancid mansplainer and then a garbage human being to boot? if this was my book he would have fallen off a cliff and survived only to be eaten alive by wolves. Victor call me I have notes.
I continue to be fascinated by men writing scathing criticism of the patriarchy based on how it destroys women–I wonder if ol’ Vicky will pull a last minute “feminism is actually the problem here” like Tolstoy did or if he’s actually self-aware. (don’t answer that. I’m here to viciously critique find out for myself.)
I couldn’t remember the dickbag’s name–I’m only saying it once he doesn’t deserve to have his name remembered–which resulted in this google search. you’re welcome.

not to compare this whole book to Tale of Two Cities the whole time (that’s 100% a lie) but I am noticing a Dickens-like trend of Two Types of Women: angels and assholes, and Three Types of Men: internally tortured, saints, and assholes. since they were writing in around the same time period, it’s interesting to me how these character types persist and I could probably write a paper about this if I was still in school but I’m not and I won’t. don’t direct me to the paper that already exists.
am also noticing victor hugo out here all constantly like “no one in this world can comprehend someone doing good things for the sake of doing good things. literally they would rather make up wild shit and ulterior motives than accept that people just do good things and are good people. and god forbid they leave people well enough alone. it’s fucking whack, right?” I agree, dude. I agree.
(btw you don’t have to understand a goddamn word regarding the other books I compared this to, it’s fine. but if you’re a musical fan and and haven’t listened to Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 you’re very much missing out, and Tale of Two Cities is worth the most boring middle section in the history of literature for the evil death knitting, and you can take that information to the banklibrary.)
As many of you know from my constant ‘im taking a break’ then 'im back’ yo yo ing, my mental health is more unstable than Francium.
So basically I’m gonna be really selfish. I’m gonna post fics when I want to, not bother tagging, only interact as and when I can/want to, and try not to feel guilty about it. If people still want to read and support me then that would make me overwhelmingly happy on the other side of this here screen but I also appreciate that having a brick wall producing fics with no interaction or bonding can be a turn off.
I just wanna write things for me whenever I feel like doing it and then I’ll dip again, and that’s sort of what’s going to happen for the foreseeable. So if you see me 'ignoring’ you then this is why…

My curse is that I keep imprinting on characters that are controversial in their fandoms.
There’s probably some meta in there somewhere about disabled & traumatized characters getting held to horrifically high standards in fandom regardless of the narrative the story gives them.
Any story that presents a narrative of “this character is incredibly complex and layered, and their actions are informed by immense trauma and pain” gets reduced to “but are they a Good Guy or a Bad Guy? Probably a Bad Guy. I should scream at people who identify with them.”
