usayoshiI thought they’re not supposed to get wet is she ok ??

She’s fine, you definitely don’t want to keep them wet and you want to make sure that their elastic is completely dry before you re-string them so they don’t mold.

What I did was, do a bunch of research to make sure the chlorine wasn’t going to damage the resin itself straight away, then as soon as we were done taking photos, I rinsed her off at the pool, wrapped her up in a towel, took her home and unstrung her, washed her thoroughly with a really mild dish soap and rinsed her again really well and put her on a towel to dry. I also washed and rinsed her elastic and hooks, dried the hooks off to make sure they didn’t rust and left everything to dry. Her wig probably suffered the worst of anything, but it’s okay as well, just needs a bit of wig spray

I think it was at least a month before I was confident her elastic was fully dry (it’s thick elastic) and then with the help of my friends, we got her restrung (it was a process, she has a lot of parts and is strung tight)

Her face-up does need to be re-done, because I use a water based sealant so the sealant broke down a little in all the water and I personally wouldn’t do it repeatedly, but it was also a lot of fun and a great chance to use my water proof camera.
