#i want to find thrillers mysteries with new tropes

LIVE

leconcombrerit:

I can finally play Life is strange True Colors, I hope I’ll love it !

I saw a lot of love for it online, but I don’t dare get my hopes up too much cause there was also a lot of love for the first one, which I found good but not crazy good, and even for Before the Storm, which I found straight up bad, so the mystery part that’s the common denominator for those doesn’t bode too well for me. I’m expecting feels though, those games always deliver some feels.

I might share some thoughts as I play, so we’ll see. I’ll start tonight, let’s go Alex !

I’m at chapter 3, and it’s actually quite good ? I haven’t felt like crying yet, but it was a close call.

Alex is a nice character, very relatable, and I kinda like Steph and Ryan.

HOWEVER. MARK MY WORDS and please don’t spoil in the comments but

I DO NOT TRUST JED. I DO NOT TRUST HIM AT ALL.

Haven’t since chapter 2, when I was quite sure we’d met about all the characters we needed to meet. Why, you ask ? Well he’s older, a mentor / parental figure, kind, helpful, hindsightful, a local hero with ties to Typhoon, and overall not menacing. He’s in the background but kinda all the time. If thrillers taught me anything, it would be not to trust him. Or the policeman. Either could be suspicious but my money is on Jed.

If I’m wrong, well, I’m wrong and they’ve done a good job at being innovative and I’ll owe big apologies to the old man. If I’m right… Well that will be one more example to add to my fullproof theory and I might sigh a little if it’s played as a ’!!!!!!’ moment. Surprise me, game. Prove me wrong. Let him be a nice guy.
