I do think a lot about how much I would have loved to see a Ryou corruption arc where he not only stops trying to prevent Bakura from doing his fuckshit but actively joins in on it
The fact that if Kul Elna had not happened, Bakura would have ended up just like Ryou means that within Ryou is the potential to become Bakura. IMAGINE the line between the two of them becoming blurrier over time as Ryou gets deeper into Bakura’s mindset and they get more in sync
Essential to this idea tho is Bakura’s trauma actually being acknowledged and addressed and both of them being redeemed at the end
