#icon font

Cappuccicons’ domain was not renewed which broke the link for every theme that uses that script. I’ve waited a few days for an update, so until there is an official fix, I created this stylesheet to fix your broken icons!

How to Use:

replace this:

<script src="//pull.cappuccicons.com/cpf.js"></script>    

with this:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://static.tumblr.com/svdghan/wUSr83npl/tempcf.css">

You won’t have to do anything else! Your icons should return without further editing.

I was hesitant to post this since suiomi did not want people downloading the icons for free or hosting them elsewhere (the individual files are still available for purchase here), so if there is an official fix later, please use that instead of this out of respect for her terms.

What is Cappuccicons?

Cappuccicons is a merge of my previous two fonts, Honeybee and SaturnIcons. It came to replace these fonts with new and upgraded icons, and it has most icons from both fonts (except repeated ones, of course).

Using Honeybee or Saturnicons? Both fonts will remain working, though the icons lists will be gone. You can use Cappuccicons’ list for reference, as most icon names have remained the same.

how to use

place the font reference in your code above the ‘head’ section ( usually above </head><style> ) - it’s exactly the same as including any other google font in your theme!

then select the icon you wish to use from the material icons library - click on it and a blue bar will appear at the bottom of the page.  

you can select a default black or white icon to download as a svg or png.  you can also choose the resolution if downloading as an image.

to use this as a font - just click on the ‘< > icon font’ link ( at the right hand side ) for the code…

the icons work on an ‘i class’ like fontawesome - to install in your theme, just copy and paste the code where you would like the icon to appear - e.g. <i class=“material-icons”>pets</i>

you can style this font with css just like any other google font using a ‘.material-icons’ class as this class is already included in the icon link.  for example -

.material-icons {
   font-size: 14px;
   color: #ffffff;}
