bluejaybird12:

Argus’ specialty is water-type magic

As a new student he was an impressive sight, especially when he tried out for the academy’s swim team.  His people could hold their breath longer than any land-dweller, not to mention that swimming was like second nature to him!

His other talents lay in linguistics, though he’s quicker with learning the verbal side of languages compared to reading and writing. Some people give him a hard time due to having some difficulty reading and writing something he doesn’t like to bring up.

While Argus is down-to-earth, his peers are reminded of his noble qualities when he takes on leadership roles at the academy–while he claims to have much more to learn, it is evident that he has a strong will and an ability to handle people.

He’s trained in martial arts and strategies relating to both war and politics. Even during times of peace, Argus’ tutors were vigilant in preparing him for any trials he may face in the future. (And he enjoys practicing these in his spare time, to keep his skills sharp!)

One of his closest friends is the child of a scholar that visited his home. At a time when Argus was not yet allowed to tag along on expeditions, he and his friend would stay behind (as they were still kids) and fall into their own research in the palace’s library.

Besides learning about his empire’s past, Argus is quite curious about history and the ancient world in general. He’s one of the rare students that actively absorb info in history lessons.

There is quite a strict screening of which scholars are allowed to visit Atlantis (and their historical sites), as there have been cases where swindlers snuck in with the intention of smuggling out recovered artefacts to sell for money.

Having read much about the places outside the Empire. Argus is curious to learn about other cultures.
