→ Azul Ashengrotto

He meets you at the entrance ceremony and sees you’re slightly anxious for the results, but he mostly pays no mind. But when he sees that somehow, you’ve placed in Octaniville, he gets enthused. People see that you’ve caused this octopus boy’s attention to overlook everything else, and instead, hunt you over. With the help of his two eel companions, Floyd and Jade, he’ll hunt you down, just so he can get to know you better. He saw that you were easygoing, and that you were just a bit naive, kind of like a kitten wandering around a parking lot in search of a warm bed and a good meal. He saw that you were a people pleaser, and Floyd started giving him ideas on the future, with his mind being the way it is. The ideas on corruption started to flow in his mind, Suggestibility, perhaps? He let his mind dance briefly, but not enough for it to get distracted, oh no. He offers you a place at the Mostro Lounge. Are you in need of a job there in this new world? Of course, you’ll take it happily won’t you? But don’t worry. This won’t be the end of your relations with Azul, no no.

His mind will curve around the fact that you’re particularly smart, and that your grades seem to be important to you, which adds more fantasies within his fishy friend’s head. How you treat customers, your innocent sweet smile, the way your ass jiggles in your light fitting pants… ah did we mention that Jade gave you pants that were a size too small? Yeah, for the sake of Azul trying to examine your behavior with other people, you grew increasingly anxious when you felt your pants tightening with each step, how your breath started to wander off on its own path… oh, but let’s not get too hasty now. He has work to do.

Oh, how he’ll play you into his palm moments later however. Much like a kitten, your submissive nature may get the best of you when he pulls a contact from his lovely hands, golden paper aligned with a signature line adorning the bottom of the cursive typed wording, neatly spaced and ready for any innocent reader to take a nose dive. Of course, when you read it you sign it right? As a people pleaser, you’re so agreeable. Such an agreeable little darling you can be for this octopus.~ But what does this contract entail? Do we have a deal?

Well, it’s you of course! In exchange for fufilling all of Your desires he gets you in exchange… you body at least. As a chubby man himself, he sees your stretch marks and your beautiful chub, and he finds enlightenment to see that he can have someone to relate to. Albeit he’s a little ashamed in his body, he can find pleasure in the fact that you don’t mind.

Such a cutie patootie you are to him, obeying every command like a dog, listening to his every word, it’s almost like you were made to be put on a leash for his amusement. He’ll give you complicated things to do— such as dusting up in high places where you have to force your body to stretch up real high, or clean down below tables, where you have to find ways to contort your body so that you’ll fit. He watches you do this with a twisted grin, as he gets to revel in the fact that you’re trying for him.

Some octopi can be quite aggressive. Especially however in the presence of a mate. So when Floyd comes for grabs, Azul, quite darkly, shoos him away from his prey. Buying you lavish things as possession gifts, watching you wear them as you game with your friends. They see you wearing that necklace he got for you the other day, or the ring he found just out of nowhere— damn near strapped to your finger like a keepsake. He finds it erotic that other people get to see these gifts without any real or clear intention as to what they mean.

And when he ties you up so intricately, he’s always been a fan of shibari, the Japanese rope tie style, so intricate and so artistic, like a piece of artwork for his crustacean eyes. He’s so fascinated by your doe eyes, the way they revel in the false light of hope. Your reddening cheeks, puffy and akin to his own, filling with blood at his feather light glove clad touches on your skin. How quaint.~

The Leech twins can only scoff and laugh at the mess that Azul has made you— from a commoner to his queen, wrapped in a contract. Be sweet to him, and he will show you his mercy, as a gentleman should. But when he doesn’t, oh dear do things get wild. He’ll start by verbally degrading you as he enters the room, clapping his hands slowly, as if honoring your subtle form in his shadow. He walks over, slowly, like a snake in the woods monitoring its prey, and he pulls you closer. Pulls you by the chain wrapped on your neck. The beautiful sapphire gems engraved in what would’ve been soft black leather, with his initials and yours, carved into a single silver heart with a cute bell in the front that would ring when you got excited. Would command you to kneel before him and service him, much like a good girl should. Being keen on the fact that you would be doing everything, his hands would be instructing yours, as though silently telling you to unbutton, pull down, pull out, caress, stroke, suck….

Will you be a good girl and get back on the bed for him? Like good prey that he won’t have to hunt down? Will you be good and spread your legs for him? Giving him a feast for his eyes to drool upon, as your cunt swells and dumbly drools at the sight of his hunger laden eyes. At times like this, he’s all but gentle as he shows you who’s boss here, the dominant one in this contract, all the while keeping a confident smile on his face knowing he has all the power, all the control, all the energy in the world knowing he has everything laid out before him, just for him to take and crush. To pound. To make that someone cry and whine and moan like a small cat, clawing away at him for mercy. It’s not gonna work my dear. With all this power he has, he’ll go crazy.

Riddle

  • First impressions with Riddle were a mixed bag. On one hand, you could tell that he genuinely believed in the rules he was enforcing; but on another, the injustice of his severity forced you to rebel against him with Ace and Deuce.
  • But you were nothing if not forgiving, especially when you saw that Riddle was genuinely trying to improve himself after his overblot. That leads you to interacting with him more willingly, especially when you notice that his dorm-mates were prone to avoiding him in fear of his wrath (which you could sympathize with, seeing as your temper can be similar).
  • You were perfectly fine with being on your own, but you also knew how lonely that could feel sometimes. Perhaps that’s what made you gradually befriend him.
  • He was a little intimidated by your demeanor at first, but Riddle was quick to recognise your kindness. He appreciates how you see him as a friend rather than a figure of authority, and likes to invite you to their tea parties as a way to express that.
  • You didn’t break rules for no reason, after all. So Riddle knows that at the very least, you were someone he could find fair and equal ground with.

Leona

  • Seeing as you’re both independent types, Leona didn’t think much of you at first. But once you spent enough time together for him to realize your resourcefulness, his impression of you started to improve.
  • Your fiery nature can deter Leona a bit though, seeing as it contrasts with how he prefers not to waste time on things he knew were unattainable.
  • …Which is why when you told him that you didn’t believe in set fates, Leona was both annoyed and a little bit glad. Even if he won’t admit it, it was a little refreshing to see someone that had the energy to be this determined, even if he himself wasn’t looking to pick that up again right now.
  • It sounded like you believed in his ability to somehow change his future. That was something that lingered in his head for a while, and he slowly started to warm up to you more!
  • Even if he complained about how you lectured him at times, he had to admit it wasn’t so bad to see you that animated. Perhaps you were a bit more like him than he thought, with how you hide behind your walls.

Azul

  • His curiosity piqued when he noticed that you could easily sense his deception. It takes one to know one after all, and he grew to like testing your instincts as if it was a game.
  • You clearly disliked Azul from the moment you met, but the way he remained smug and didn’t react to your anger paved way to another side of yourself, where you resorted to calculativeness and strategy in order to dissolve his contracts.
  • This was a quality he didn’t expect you to have at first, but now that he knew what you were capable of, it was only natural for Azul to see what other strengths you had which might be useful in the future.
  • You were quite against the idea of spending time with him (which he admitted was quite amusing), but upon learning more about his background and hard work to become a top achiever, you started to sympathize with him more.
  • While Azul was a little self-conscious about the information you knew, he had to admit that receiving your compassion was nice. You were able to see past disfavorable first-impressions to appreciate his other traits, which was a form of vulnerability he didn’t normally allow himself to experience.

Kalim

  • At first, Kalim complimented you for all the help you gave to the other dorms during their times of need. Now, he starts to notice that you seem to be a little tired of doing all that, so he tries to offer you a time to relax and have fun, such as attending a banquet at his dorm!
  • Encourages you to express yourself more! Kalim is nothing if not kind, but people can overlook his perceptiveness and wit at times because of his bright personality. He’s not pushy, since he knows how unsettling it can be to do something outside of your comfort zone when you’ve been a certain way for so long.
  • Kalim really values your protectiveness towards those you care about. Superficial relationships are unfortunately quite common, so seeing the bond between you and your good friends draws Kalim near in hopes of getting closer (he admires the relationships you have!)
  • In that sense he supposed that his intentions aren’t all that pure, but on the contrary you found it easier to talk to and trust Kalim more than many others in NRC.
  • You assure him that you enjoy his company through your actions, which he appreciates a lot. The two of you tend to find relief and hope in one-another.

Vil

  • Appreciates your attitude when it comes to your goals - a practical and determined mindset is something that Vil values, especially since it’ll produce the results you want.
  • However, your independence is a double-edged sword. He understands the desire to achieve things with your own ability, but there are obstacles that you can only tackle through working with others.
  • …So long as it’s something worthwhile, Vil wouldn’t mind helping you every now and then. You wouldn’t dare say he of all people would slow or let you down, right? If you did, his pride wouldn’t stand for it, so Vil would be determined to prove you wrong.
  • Because he can be straight-to-the-point about things he considers business, it can prove to be an effective way for the two of you to communicate, especially when he points out the exact reasons why you shouldn’t try to tackle a certain task alone. It’s objective, and from that there is a sense of comfort as you try to rely on others more.
  • Much like how you become more playful and affectionate with your loved ones, Vil can be a lot more relaxed and softer with his partner. It’s a side that the public wouldn’t normally see, and there was something about that which makes you smile.

Idia

  • Really didn’t expect himself to befriend you at all, seeing as your extroversion and natural aptitude for leadership were qualities that Idia couldn’t see himself relating to.
  • So when you derail this impression of you by revealing your criminal record, well - Idia found himself curious, especially because it sounded like something out of a manga.
  • And since you got up to so many things before in the past… It wouldn’t hurt your reputation to try non-normie things, right? Like helping him beat this really hard level of a dance-saber VR game. His physical ability wasn’t the most herculean, but with your here, perhaps something memorable could come out of it!
  • He also sympathized with how you just wanted to do what you loved rather than be responsible for other people’s happiness, despite your ability to lead and do amazing things.
  • And when your kindness eventually causes you to help them anyways? Idia finds something endearing about that, even if he wouldn’t step up to do the same himself.
  • At the end of the day when the two of you are hanging out and relaxing, he absentmindedly asks how your work/errands are doing - it’s Idia’s way of subtly checking up on you, even if he delivers those words non-committedly.

Malleus

  • Now this was interesting; a child of man that seemed like a walking contradiction… Naturally, Malleus was curious about you from the day you showed no recognition of who he was.
  • As a fae that is bound to live much longer than you, Malleus regards the way you tackle life with intrigue, especially with how you live in the moment and seize opportunities as they appear.
  • Being a prince also meant he was used to having plans and busy schedules, so when you spontaneously invite him to do things together, he finds a smile tugging at his lips; perhaps being a little lively could be fun after all, even if it’s not as dignified as he normally acts.
  • Malleus finds no reason to lie to you about things, and as such you grew to enjoy conversations with him! He does sometimes like to border on the mysterious side though, but rather than lying to you outright, Malleus prefers to challenge you to figure out what he’s hiding (with the appropriate clues).
  • The prince is nothing if not patient when it comes to you holding back your feelings - he’s a little similar in that respect, and the two of you find comfort in each other’s company when words simply refuse to leave the tongue.

A Treasure Found

About: A oneshot with Kalim and Yuulis for the wonderful @aulilyu!!

Link to their comic here!

The breeze in Scarabia was pleasantly cool at night, and the view from the lounge’s balcony proved serene enough to calm even the most troubled of souls.

The desert could make one feel smaller than they were from its vastness, compared to the warm community that otherwise lived within these walls; that was where having a friend came in handy, they supposed.

Yuulis rested their elbows on the railing of the balcony that opened up to the sky. Despite the earlier task of searching through the treasure room, they did enjoy how quiet it was here - it was the most serene moment they’ve enjoyed for a while.

“Thanks for the help, Yuulis.” Kalim smiled from beside them. “I didn’t expect you to be so good at finding things! If it was just me alone, I think I would’ve been there for days.”

“Well, I’m part of the NRC staff after all. Though why does that feel like I’m being associated with some type of thief?"

“Mmm, even if you were one, you’d be the nicest thief I’ve met.”

…He’s met thieves?

“I felt more like a hired bandit, maybe.”

Kalim laughed, a refreshing sound that Yuulis couldn’t fully trust. “Well, it’s not like I’ve had that much of an experience with either. I could tell you had a good eye though.”

Yuulis looked thoughtfully at the pair of clips in Kalim’s hand, shaped like triangles with soft curves and a delicate surface of diamonds. “I might, but I still can’t tell what those are supposed to be.”

Seeing as they were able to help find the hair clips, Kalim assumed they meant that in a decorative sense. “They’re cat ears! See?”

Kalim holds up the clips to his own head to demonstrate, earning an unconvinced look from Yuulis. “Um… Not really.”

He huffed lightly, gesturing for them to get closer. Kalim reached towards Yuulis to nimbly clip the accessories onto their head, adopting a self-satisfied grin. “There! That’s how it’s supposed to look.”

“…Kalim. If they’re on my head, I still can’t see them.”

“Oh. Right.” His smile barely wavers before he thinks of a new idea. “I’ll just take a picture then!”

…Well, if it was only just the two of them here, Yuulis supposed that’d be fine. If need be, they could simply delete it from his gallery later on.

The moment quieted as Kalim found his phone, trying to get a good angle as he walked around Yuulis. They considered for a moment that aside from his otter-like demeanor, Kalim was quick on his feet. They were sure that if he wanted, he could mask the sound of his footsteps to sneak about.

Perhaps in another life, he would’ve made a good thief. Not that Yuulis minded the current Kalim that much.

“There, see? It looks cute on you!”

A little smile made its way onto their lips. The sight of cat ears was… “I guess it does. But aren’t you worried I’ll just walk off with these without returning them?”

“Nope, these are for you, after all.” There was the brilliant smile he has when hosting guests.

For a split second, Yuulis found themself at a loss for words - he’s kidding, right? There were at least four dozen diamonds on these things!

“I… Are you sure?”

“Of course! I’ve always intended to give you something. When I saw them the other day I got reminded of you… so here we are! Sorry for needing your help searching for them though, I didn’t expect someone to move things around!”

“It’s no problem…” Yuulis touched the clips on his hair, looking at Kalim curiously. “These are definitely expensive though, even for a special gift. Just what kind of life do you have back home?”

It wasn’t confrontational - Yuulis knew to phrase their words in a softer way these days, especially with students. The staff members were still fair game though.

“Mmm, we have quite the lively household. I have a big family, after all. But because I’m supposed to inherit everything, I guess I was raised to be hospitable?” Kalim smiled, though the energy in the air had quieted to a more serious tone.

“Did you like it, growing up?”

It suddenly felt as if Yuulis could see through him - oddly enough, Kalim wasn’t too offset by that. He chuckled, more hollow than usual. Like he was remembering something. “Everyone treated me well, it was only sometimes during parties when this group of adults… I guess they were just interested in me.” He shrugged. “In the business sense. Whispering wasn’t unusual, but the way they glance at you - it can be kind of unsettling. Though I’m sure they don’t mean any harm.”

They waited for him to continue, glancing at the faraway look in his eyes.

“…Once, they offered me a new servant. One to replace Jamil.” Kalim’s gaze darkened. “They said this one would be ‘better trained’ and ‘more fitting’. I said no, of course. How could I ever think of replacing him?

“I never told Jamil though. I thought I was protecting his feelings, I guess.“ He laughed, though it felt empty. "But looking at things now, I should’ve done more.”

“Why tell me something you never told your best friend?” Yuulis couldn’t help but ask.

Kalim smiled, looking up towards the sky, the stars winking like diamonds.

For a moment, it felt safe to say it.

“I guess you feel like a person I can confide in?” The air grew lighthearted again. Kalim looked down at his hands on the railing. “You don’t feel related to the picture back home. Maybe that’s why I ended up telling you.”

Out of the corner of his eye, Kalim spotted a familiar sight under the balcony. Its golden tassel peeked out from the darkness, making him shift his arms to rest differently on the handrails. He was suddenly reminded of the sky above them, even more vast than the desert they were looking over.

“Hey Yuulis, have you ever tried chasing the stars?”

Before they could offer him a response, Kalim raised himself to peer over the balcony, teetered, and leapt. Not a moment later while Yuulis almost had a heart attack and rushed forwards, Kalim’s figure floated up, cross-legged and sitting on the magic carpet they recognised from the treasure room.

I swear to–

Kalim burst into laughter at the offended look on their face. “Pfft– Wait, I’m sorry! Yuulis,” The carpet flew around to interrupt them from leaving. “Yuulis, I’m sorry.” When they crossed their arms to stare at him expectantly, he offered them his hand, outstretched.

“I know I’m not the most responsible person, but do you trust me to bring us back in one piece?“

Yuulis regarded him for a moment, before sighing and accepting his hand to pull themself up. "You better not kill us both, Kalim.”

“Haha, that’s the spirit!” Despite their reluctance from earlier, Yuulis had to admit that feeling the wind on their face was addicting. “When it’s dark out, we can go as fast as we want without the Sun stopping us!”

“I didn’t think the sunlight would stop you,” they commented.

“Well, if you want to do this again in the day, I wouldn’t mind.” Kalim guided the carpet higher. “I wasn’t that great of a host today with entertaining my friend, so you can come back anytime for a re-do!”

His eyes brightened as they reached an altitude just right for gliding through the sky. “It’s just that at night, I guess I like how I can see everything at my own pace? There’s no glare to mar my sight.”

Hmm… “In that case, you’d probably hate having my bangs.”

Kalim blinked, raising a hand to brush the strands near his forehead. A hearty chuckle escaped him. “I guess so! Though you seem to see things quite clearly regardless.”

Yuulis supposed they did. Though it wasn’t always to their own credit; some stories had to be heard from a person, not read from a book. Like one of a boy with garnet eyes, and the blessings of an oasis in his smile.

bluejaybird12:

Argus’ specialty is water-type magic

As a new student he was an impressive sight, especially when he tried out for the academy’s swim team.  His people could hold their breath longer than any land-dweller, not to mention that swimming was like second nature to him!

His other talents lay in linguistics, though he’s quicker with learning the verbal side of languages compared to reading and writing. Some people give him a hard time due to having some difficulty reading and writing something he doesn’t like to bring up.

While Argus is down-to-earth, his peers are reminded of his noble qualities when he takes on leadership roles at the academy–while he claims to have much more to learn, it is evident that he has a strong will and an ability to handle people.

He’s trained in martial arts and strategies relating to both war and politics. Even during times of peace, Argus’ tutors were vigilant in preparing him for any trials he may face in the future. (And he enjoys practicing these in his spare time, to keep his skills sharp!)

One of his closest friends is the child of a scholar that visited his home. At a time when Argus was not yet allowed to tag along on expeditions, he and his friend would stay behind (as they were still kids) and fall into their own research in the palace’s library.

Besides learning about his empire’s past, Argus is quite curious about history and the ancient world in general. He’s one of the rare students that actively absorb info in history lessons.

There is quite a strict screening of which scholars are allowed to visit Atlantis (and their historical sites), as there have been cases where swindlers snuck in with the intention of smuggling out recovered artefacts to sell for money.

Having read much about the places outside the Empire. Argus is curious to learn about other cultures.
