“And you couldn’t spare a moment for a few selfies?” Rachel pouted and slumped in her seat, a curtain of gold spilling over her shoulder. “I was hoping to see your cute face take up the whole screen.”

“My face is right here.”

“Yourcute face,” Rachel corrected. “Say it with me.”

“I refuse.”

“I refuse your refusal.” Rachel peered to her left. “Back me up here, Price.”

“Your backup has arrived as requested, Amber. Can report that Caulfield is trapped in a corner,” Chloe snickered, leaning forward on her elbows so the fondness glowing beneath her smirk became the luminous epicentre of Max’s world. “You do have a hella cute face.”
