LIVE

Imagine an AU where Derek found a box of kittens abandoned on the edge of his property and the reserve. They’re in bad condition–freezing cold, starving, and barely have the energy to lift their heads or mew–so he takes them home and calls Deaton. Despite his best efforts, only one of the kittens survives.

Derek has never had cats before but he refuses to give this one up for adoption. He can’t help but fall in love with them, especially when the tiny kitten tries to climb up Derek’s leg while he’s getting their dinner ready.

When they’re a little bigger, the cat learns to sit on his shoulder and just chills there as Derek walks around.

They get really excited when Stiles or Cora come to visit and will sit in the window chirping and meowing until they walk through the door and then will run to them for pets.

Summary: Derek Hale request where Reader and him are both Alpha’s

The moon was up high, leaving a glimmering shade of white around it’s globe. Loud thumps followed by deep breathing emerged from the woods. Flashes of bodies rushing past. Gone with a blink of the eye. The moon pumped them up, giving them the thrill of the night. The wind strong in your hair, came you running from behind. You ran past all the others with ease. Feeling the adrenaline pump through your veins. Some tried to race you, but you were out of their league. You surpassed them all with ease and they let you. A fallen branch laid on your path as you jumped over it, almost soaring. Landing with your boots in a puddle, looked you over your shoulder once.

Your eyes shining a bright red. Pulling your upper lip a bit up, showed you a bit of your fangs. The rest of your pack joined, coming to a stop around you. Their chests moving hastily syncing with their breathing. You slowly rose, your fingers in a claw-grip. Closing your eyes, took you a deep breath. Letting the moon’s effect settle down on you. It was ravishing how the moon had such an impact on you. The rest of your pack did the same, taking the moon in. Feeling an inner roar come up, howled you loud at the moon. Speaking to her. Soon echoed your howling through the woods.

All eyes were turned towards you, their Alpha. Their leader. You moved towards your pack, laying your hand on your Beta’s back. He smiled, throwing his arm around you as well. The two of you started to walk back from where you came. With your other hand touched you people’s shoulder as a sign of respect and acknowledgement. Some lowered their head in respect to you, others placed their hand on yours. Some of the smallest pack members were dancing and singing around you. It made you smile, seeing how lively your pack was thriving. They had endured some dark times, but that was all over. Under your leadership have they been going around with a different perspective. Stay true to their inner wolf. Back at the den, busted the party loose.

Celebrating another cycle of the moon. You sat by the fire, watching your pack members dance beside it. Dances from centuries ago that would praise the Gods. You were invited to dance as you politely declined. Staring a bit at the fires, were you lost in thoughts. Your pack was alive and well, but you had lost a great deal of members. In times like these it was getting harder for your pack and you to stay out of sight. There would always be folks of interest in the supernatural for their own good deems. Shoot them or experience a bit on them, whatever pulled their attention.

Sighing deep, were you questioning what you could do. You could always turn more people to make the pack grander. As if! No, you never wished that upon anyone to be burdened with this life when they did not choose it. You had seen it more then enough. Men, women, children who were bitten and thus forced to go through the changes. When this is something, you do not wish upon yourself could be destructive for themselves and those close. Too many lives have been taken for such an idea. You sure weren’t going to give it any thoughts. There had to be another way. Of course there was… it required a union. Two packs colliding into one by marriage. One Alpha to another. The thought made you shudder. Who would even be good enough for the pack… and you.

A deep sigh caught your attention as your Beta came sitting beside you. – “You thinking to much.” – pointed he out, peeking at you with familiar wisdom. You hummed amusingly; he clearly could see right through you. Marc brought his drink to his lips, chuckling briefly. He inhaled sharply, spotting something over your shoulder. – “Looks like you have company.” – commented he, patting your knee with a soft wink. Confused, moved you, your head around to see who it was. From between the trees saw you him. He was leaning against a bark with his arms crossed. You took a deep breath, pulling yourself up. – “I’ll stand guard.” – called Marc out, swaying with his drink around. Some content spilled over it, making you laugh.

You started making your way over to him. – “To what do I owe the pleasure.” – said you, coming to stand before him. Derek licked his lips briefly, letting his eyes go slowly up to your face. – “Do I need to have a reason to meet you?” – replied he with a wide grin. Tilting your head a bit to the side, wanted you to give him the benefit of the doubt. – “I had no idea we were so familiar.” – laughed you out, walking past him. Derek unfolded his arms a bit, closing his eyes. He breathed in deep when you walked past him. Taking in your scent, tingled all his senses. It took him a moment to recover from the moment, not wanting to look like a creepy stalker that liked to smell girls.

It was just that your scent was driving him crazy. Composing himself went he after you. – “How’s the pack?” – questioned he. Your eyes widened, spinning sharply back to him. With your hand pressed against his chest, wanted you to keep him from speaking further. – “Oh no, you didn’t come here to talk to me about my pack!” – called you out. The pack was the least of your worries now. You just wanted to have a care-free moment without bearing the responsibilities. Derek could tell from the bitsy tone in your voice that he shouldn’t have asked. That you rather had your mind be pulled in another direction.

“Sorry I thought that was what you wanted to talk about…” – answered he, holding his hands up. – “You summoned me, so I thought it was about that.” – quirking your eyebrow up, had you no idea what he was talking about. – “I didn’t summon you!” – spitted you out. Derek furrowed his brows, knowing for sure you did. – “Yes, you did.” – he moved his fingers near his brain, making it clear to you. – “I wasn’t…” – shouted you out, suddenly keeping your mouth shut. You thought back at the moment at the fireplace. Okay perhaps your mind went briefly to Derek, but you didn’t mean to summon him. Stupid Alpha trait. Shaking your head, shook you the butterflies away. Grunting gave you Derek a small push.

You didn’t want to satisfy him with the pleasure that you wanted him around. Derek chuckled, sensing from your behavior how things were. Stepping over tall grass and branches were you walking away from him, walking away from your responsibilities. – “Y/n, wait!” – called Derek out, hurdling after you. – “I won’t speak about the pack!” – breathed he out, catching up with you. He took a hold of your wrist, pulling you towards him. – “I’ll speak about anything you like.” – said he, wanting to please you so much. – “Or I don’t speak at all, your choice.” – rolling with your eyes, you hated how devilish charming he was. – “What do you need right now?”

You sighed, feeling his hands slide up your arms. – “I don’t know…” – confessed you. You truly had no idea what you wanted. Everything felt so hazy in your head that it was disrupting you from clear thinking. – “Do you trust me enough to go somewhere?” – biting your lip, nodded you slowly. Derek leaded the way, guiding you out of the woods. The streets were empty as you were walking underneath a streetlight. Your entire body illuminated. Derek bit his lip, fighting the urge to press you against him. It wasn’t just because you were an Alpha as well that he felt drawn to you. It was more then that. For now was he satisfied with being your friend. Enough to know he could be around you.

“Was this where you wanted to take me?” – questioned you, stepping from underneath the streetlight into the dark. Derek shook his head. He extended his hand out to you. You laid your hand in his. He brought you up to a house around the back. With a questionable brow, were you hesitant at what he wanted to do. He sighed deep, climbing up to the roof. You followed since you trusted him. On the roof came you sitting on the edge. Your feet dangling over the railing. Derek sat beside you. In silence were you admiring the night sky. Some stars were visible as it brought some peace to you.

Taking a deep sigh, lowered you your head. Doubts crossing your mind again. Pulling your legs back over the railing, pressed you them against your chest, your arms around them. What did you have to do about your pack. Derek saw something was bothering you, but he kept quiet about it. He didn’t want to say something wrong in your presence. Derek closed his eyes again, taking in your smell as it overwhelmed him again. He started to feel cravings for your taste that were getting harder and harder for him to shut out. – “I don’t know what to do…” – said you quietly, looking at the dark horizon. – “My pack is still suffering in silence… we’ve lost so many numbers. I can’t keep track of it.” – expressed you.

“I fear I have to take drastic measures for us to survive.” – Derek slowly opened his eyes to you. – “How so?” – questioned he, leaning closer to you. You turned your head at him, speaking with your eyes. – “Oh…” – breathed he out, knowing very well of what you spoke. – “The least drastic action is a union with another pack.” – said you, letting your feet dangle over the railing again. – “Is that such a bad thing?” – responded he, bringing his head closer to you. His face was inches away from you when you looked at him. Closing your eyes, took you in his smell. That strong Alpha smell that made your senses go haywire. Exhaling shakily, tingled your lips with a craving. Knowing his lips weren’t that far away.

“I must do what is right for the pack.” – breathed you out, your hand sliding forwards over the rooftiles to him. Derek inhaled deep, fighting the urge to kiss you. He tilted his head to the other side, still close to your lips. – “You… you should…” – replied he, bringing his hand up. The moment his hand touched your cheek, were you trembling to the bone. His warm hand against your cheek, sparked so much inside of you. – “If only…” – started he, bringing his lips to your neck to take in your scent. – “someone was willing to unify the packs.” – continued he, seeing stars before him. All his senses had exploded, popping in his head.

You exhaled deep, brushing your cheek against the side of his face. Exploring each other like wolves would do. Getting to know each other from up close. Letting the senses speak for you. Derek grunted loud, a deep roar from inside his throat that let you know how much he wanted this as well. – “Derek…”- breathed you out. He hummed loud, letting you know he heard you. You were so caught up in your senses that disrupted your thoughts. No clear thoughts were coming out of it. Derek breathed shakily against your skin, holding both his hands against your cheeks. He traced his lips against your jawline that made you squeal loud.

“Just say the word…” – forced he out, fighting against his overwhelming senses. – “I’ll get on my knees for you Y/n.” – his lips hovered over yours, slowly opening his eyes. You opened your eyes as well, staring intensely at him. – “Would you lay down so easily for my survival.” – asked you, stroking his scruffy beard with your thumb. He nodded breathlessly, willing to do anything for you. – “I would take a bullet to the brain for you Y/n.” – You grabbed on tight to his shirt, crumbling it in your grip. – “Please don’t.” – said you with a soft smile. Teasing each other with stolen glances and lips always just out of reach.

“Say the word Y/n, say it and I am yours. I will not stand for another. I’d rather have you rip my heart out than to watch you be with someone else.” – confessed he, bumping his forehead against yours. His words made you swoon inside. A union didn’t seem like a bad thing now with Derek willing to go down with you. Wanting to be bound to you. – “Derek… I’m yours” – said you. Derek smiled wide, swiping his hand over your cheek up to your jawline. Captivated closed he the gap between you two. Still smiling, brought he his lips towards you. The moment his lips came in contact with yours, busted you with feelings. He kissed you roughly, wanting to make up for the teasing. With every kiss, sucked he you in the spiral feeling of affection.

You had nothing to fear anymore. Your pack would survive with a union with Derek’s pack. Derek and you would be linked together as the unified alphas of both packs. Promising security and protection for each other.
