What if, when all’s said and done, they still execute Yuuji.
What if Gojo is freed, and Kenjaku is brought down, and they have Yuuji consume all 20 fingers, and they stop Sukuna.
And then they go through with it and execute Yuuji anyway.
Wouldn’t that be the biggest fucking gut-punch of an ending? Wouldn’t that be insanely effective?
I’m not one to needlessly strive for grim and dark endings. Pointlessly hopeless, gloomy storylines don’t interest me.
But it’s not like that. Yuuji can win. He can do everything they’ve set out to do. He can help the world. It won’t be an ending void of positivity…
And at the end, when we’re all expecting him to be pardoned or saved, he could instead accept his death.
