I’m just gonna say it - a YN character is not actually you.
YN is a fictional character, they have a set personality, temperament, etc based off how the author wants to depict said character. A YN character shares your name and maybe a few features but they aren’t meant to be an exact replica of you because how would some random person be able to do that?
So please stop messaging people that “I wouldn’t do that! YN isn’t acting like me!” cause baby, YN ain’t you.
I know a lot of people joke that way, I have myself, but I do so with people who I have a rapport with. Let’s be honest, it’s very difficult to know someone’s tone via text. Plus sometimes people have off days and take those words more harshly than they should.
And if you don’t like the way someone write a YN (I know I typically write YN flawed and usually as the source of conflict) then don’t read them.
But if you really, and I mean just really, wanna send that hate, send it to yourself and see how it feels.
