sean absolutely hates physical contact when he’s upset. in ep 1 when brody tried to comfort him by grabbing his shoulders, he pushed him off. when they first get to the reynolds and sean starts tearing up after explaining what happened, claire reaches to hold his hand, but he jerks away. and it’s interesting bc daniel is literally the exact opposite and needs physical reassurance when he’s upset, which sean readily gives. it speaks to the boys’ different love languages, but also to the comfort of being able to console someone else when you cannot console yourself.
