#ive always seen hyrule as more of a commonwealth though

parts of hyrule are basically an anarchy in botw, right? and, besides the monster issues, they seem to be doing fine? they’re all sectioned off into their own little towns and pretty much govern themselves. like hateno doesnt even have a hierarchy from what i remember, they’re just vibing

if there was no blood moon, hylian settlements would probably be doing pretty well for themselves, actually

so what’s going to be the justification for bringing back the monarchy in the sequel? are they going to do it because people miss their royal family? some of the npcs have a pretty romantic idea of the monarchy. or will people not want it because they realized they can just kinda take care of themselves?

i honestly feel like botw zelda wouldnt enjoy being a monarch from what we’ve seen of her character??? so are they just not going to reestablish it?
