Rikki narrowed her eyes at the sight of Max all bloodied and bruised. Max was the ONLY ONE who could properly leave Neverland and what does she do ?  She gets herself hurt. Not only did it seem like a waste of a trip, but seeing her friend in such a statesickened her.   ❝   Do I LOOK like your mother ?    ❞   she retorted, handing her the first aid kit she stole off a boat earlier that week,   ❝   no, because you don’t need a mother because you know better than to do stupid shit in the human world.   ❞

❝   Suit yourself.  ❞   All Rikki could do was shrug. Tourists. Clearly, she was an American tourist. Rikki encountered them from time to time, hardly ever in THIS spot, but she wasn’t a fan. They were obnoxious but on the bright side, they weren’t permanent. So all Rikki had to do was just sit at the counter and drink her juice and wait for her to leave.

    Hearing noise in the house, Stefan closed the door behind him and took a cautious step forward. If they were also a vampire, they would have heard him by now, so clearly they weren’t one. “Hello?” A stupid move, but if whoever they were was up to trouble, they would cease making noise immediatley. “What are you doing in here? Did my brother let you in?”

There wasn’t a real, decent explanation Rikki could give as to why she was standing in the foyer of the mansion. She had left her place to get away and went hiking around in the woods. Her timing was terrible, for thunderclouds rolled in, and Rikki was quick and desperate to find shelter. She found a driveway and now here she was, slipping inside just as the downpour began.

At the sound of another’s voice, she gasped and spun around, badly startled. Her first instinct was to hide, but she knew that was stupid and futile. So what was she supposed to do now? Ask the stranger if he’d let her, another stranger, stay in his house so she doesn’t turn into a fish outside ?
