using javascript on tumblr pages – how to ask support for permission
✧ What is happening?
As of early May 2022, you might have gotten this message when trying to save edits on your custom pages or when trying to install new ones:
“Looks like you’re trying to add some Javascript or invalid html to your page. You’ll need to contact Support if you’d like to use Javascript.”
✧ Why is this happening?
Tumblr is preventing potential malicious uses of javascript and decided to ban any form of javascript on your pages, and for now the only way to re-enable it is to “contact Support”.
Just “contact Support” is vague enough in itself, so here’s a quick guide on what to write in your request to them so you can get approved asap. Please note that it may take some time for them to process your request. This exact method isn’t guaranteed, but here’s what I did that got me approved within a week.
2. In the Category option, choose “Customizing your Tumblr”.
3. In the message box, list out all the blogs you want to use custom pages on. Then, give a brief description of what you use those blogs for. You only need to state the blog names, *not* each of the custom page urls, or the javascript file links. Here’s a template:
(Remember the please & thankyous! Staff are flooded with requests right now so be mindful).
4. Skip the Attachmentpart.
5. For the Relevant Blogoption,pick your main blog (the very first blog you created on your account)
6. For the Account Email, enter the email you use to sign in to Tumblr
7. Complete the Captcha and wait for the tick ✓ to show
8. Click Next.
9. You’ll reach the “Does any of this help?” screen. No, it does not. Scroll to the bottom and click “No, send my thing”.
And done! You’ll receive a confirmation email from staff that they’ve received your request. They will not send you a reply if your blogs have been approved for javascript usage. You need to check your custom pages every few days to see if you can save any edits, or if you can install new ones.

How many pieces of art do you make in a month? in a year? :’) It depends… If I’m excited about a fandom, I’ll usually play around with a new idea each week. But if I’m between fandoms/too busy IRL, that usually drops to just one piece per month. So… ~4 pieces in a good month, and 20 pieces per year? (also, do animations count as just 1 piece? because the 2 animatics I’ve done took a CHUNK of time to finish, ahahaha)
How many of those do you upload? If I finish a piece, I usually upload it lmaO. So like, 90% of things? For fun, here are some luberto WIPs that I’m not sure I’ll get around to finishing any time soon…
How many fandoms have you created art for and what are they? Oh god, I don’t think I could count… My most recent/involved fandoms were: Luca, Breath of the Wild, Dorohedoro, My Hero Academia, The Adventure Zone, Haikyuu!!… I’ve also done one-off pieces for like, Castlevania, Six of Crows, She-Ra, and whatever else. A looooot of personal D&D art. And then we get into like, long-ago days of doodling Bleach and Naruto on my homework
What piece of fanart do you wish had gotten more attention? why? Considering I usually draw for rarepairs and OCs, I’m pretty content with how much attention my stuff has gotten. Buuuuut I guess since it’s that time of year, it would be nice to see my Over the Garden Wall piece get a little love:
What piece of fanart have you spent the most time on? LMAO my kallende D&D animatic took ~6 months to finish!! And this rilas epilogue piece took about a month, on-and-off.

And I do melt over big rambly blocks of tags… Or any comments that highlight a specific part of the drawing, like an expression or gesture or outfit, haha.
What’s the angstiest piece of art you’ve made? Mmm none of my stuff gets too angsty… I did this disappointed Revali when I was tired and sad, and ooo this rilas piece was done after Silas died in our D&D meet (but then we were all okay haha)
What’s the fluffiest piece of art you’ve made? uhhHHHH all I draw is fluff!!!!! One of these ones, maybe?
Do you create crossover pieces? If so, what’s the craziest one you’ve created? uhhhh I think in my freshman year of college I drew an FMA x A Very Potter Musical crossover. And I draw AUs sometimes!! Like that rilas sea monster AU!

What’s a WIP that you want to finish, but don’t think you ever will? I don’t know about WIP, but there are a few pieces I’ve posted that I want to re-do pretty badly because I’m just not satisfied with them. But then, I always prioritize new pieces over that sort of exercise when I have creative energy…
What are your strengths as an artist? I think, when I put effort into it, my posing/compositions can be pretty effective at being either dynamic or tender. I like to think my background in graphic design gave me an eye for like… presenting things in an interesting way. And expressions, I get very picky with them, ahaha.
What are your weaknesses as an artist? Everything!!! Everything. My style is super inconsistent, which can be nice as far as flexibility, but really it means my stuff never turns out quite how I imagine because I just don’t have that much control. Clothing and folds frustrate me endlessly. And even though I get some nice comments on it, I think I need to work on my understanding of color & light a lot; I usually have to “fix” my muddy colors with lots of adjustment layers and overlays. Lately I’ve noticed a pattern, where I imagine a big, beautiful, dramatic piece in my mind, and it doesn’t turn out nearly like I expect in the end;;
What are your favorite tools to make art with? tbh my most fluid stuff comes from just good ol’ pencils and a sketchbook, but I’ve been using a wacom tablet and photoshop for a while. My friend let me use their iPad & procreate last month and it was?? So cool, I’d love to try that out more.
What colors do you like to use the most? Why? I see a lot of warm oranges and yellows in my recent stuff, haha. I think it just fits well with the literal emotional warmth I’m trying to capture. 6.6
What are your feelings on creating comics? They’re intimidating, but rewarding! The few times I’ve managed to finish a comic, even a simple one, it’s been so fun!!!! And they seem to always get more engagement… but my ideas & energy usually lean more toward, you know, single-frame-art.

Thank you for everything you do for this fan community and pouring so much time, effort and love in each one of your drawings. It is an absolute delight to see your versions of the characters that we all enjoy doing different things in different universes, and yet being the same, goofy, adorable dorks we first fell in love with. Head slumping onto your folded arms that lay on the desk, you let out a deep and tired sigh before looking back at your computer screen. Hand coming to your forehead, you can’t help but rub at it forcefully to try and ease the headache that has been plaguing you for the last hour.
Eyes flickering down to the time showing in the lower right corner of your screen, a loud groan leaves your throat at the knowledge you still have three hours of work left.
“Ooh Y/N, you don’t sound too happy to be here” Jisoo laughs lightly from the desk opposite you. Sitting up straighter, you look over the top of your monitor and catch her eyes, rolling them slightly as you do so.
“I swear Alex is trying to kill me. If I have to stare at this damn spread sheet for a minute longer, I may cause some damage. It’s infuriating, he’s convinced it’s wrong but I just don’t see it.” You scowl at the screen once more, trying to get it to reveal its incorrect ways to you.
Jisoo is quiet for a moment before you hear her moving something around on her desk. “Well, if you can make it through the next few hours, do you want to come with my friends and I to the circus tonight? It’ll be a cool way to relax.”
i don’t know how to explain it but this fic has given such a sense of comfort and peace that i never knew i needed. like the mc who needed to run away and find solace in the ringmaster, i found the same in this fic. i don’t think i can offer the author enough as gratitude and how much this fic has brought serotonin to me. thank you. thank you so much.

And now he’s stuck in a tiny cabin in a snowstorm in the middle of god-awful-nowhere with Harry Styles. Because of course he is.
“I think I have an idea,” Louis said. Slowly, and reluctantly, but with a growing sense of the inevitable. “God damnit, I think I have a really good idea.”
“Oh christ, that’s the problem-solving face,” Babs said. “Last time we saw that face, he sold a company.”
“Wait, what?” Zayn asked.
“Right place, right time,” Louis said. “Also, fuck my life,”
“What?” Zayn repeated. Niall patted his hand.
“I usually just roll with whatever Louis is about to do,” he said. “It’s better for us all.”
“That’s the attitude,” said Louis, “I’ll tell you tomorrow. Tonight, I need to do some research. Zayn, give me your number. I’m gonna save our symphony.”

OR: Louis is a plucky Gothic Heroine, Harry is a Mournful Spirit, and Big Country Houses are full of mystery and suspense, as Big Country Houses ever are!
Maybe in another universe he isn’t different. Maybe he hadn’t been given an impossible choice. Maybe he wouldn’t have lost everything and broken everything and then fallen impossibly, irrevocably in love with the first next thing that was kind. Maybe in that universe he doesn’t feel like he’s never breathing, always pretending, teaching the kids even though they all have to learn alone, trying hard not to read the headlines, and so afraid, every day, that he won’t be a good enough teammate to the superhero he can’t live without. He knows that love isn’t supposed to feel this way, slid secret under your skin like a surgical razor, an invisible war held close over the tender vein that keeps you alive. On the other hand, Louis wonders, had he ever known how to do it any other way?
Maybe there’s a universe where he doesn’t have to keep all his secrets on the inside.
Percy didn’t want to be a half-blood in the first place, and then he met with Rachel who can take him to a ‘normal’ life seemed like what he needed. Rachel, who has clear sight, always wondering why she could see things that others don’t, finally met Percy who can explain to her what was happening, and prove that she’s not crazy, but gifted. They are not “using each other” but bring comfort and relief to each other. Percy also said “she was so much easier to be around than some other girls I knew”, that showed how comfortable Percy was with Rachel than other girls.
2. Open Communication
In TLO Percy said “Rachel didn’t hide much. She let you know how she felt” clearly he liked that trait of her : straightforward. And we know Percy was not too sensitive to girls’ hints, and he was so confused at some point trying to deal with a girl before. So what could be more compatible for him than a straightforward girl? Being with Rachel, he stated “I didn’t have to work hard or rack my brain trying to figure out what she was thinking.” Like, good for him.
3. Rachel can make the first move
Percy might not be the sharpest when it comes to romance and he needs a little push. But boys don’t always have to be the first who make a move and there is no prohibition that a girl cannot do it. Rachel did that a few times. She wrote her phone number on Percy’s hand, even though that time wasn’t for flirting purposes, but still, Percy ended up memorizing it. She asked Percy if he felt like hanging out with a mortal, he can call her. The most famous of them all is when they were on the beach in the beginning of TLO, she hinted Percy to kiss her. If it weren’t for the pegasus interruption, Percy would’ve kissed her first. Just sayin’.
4. They can be best friends
Outside of romantic relationships, we all can agree they can be besties, with sarcastic humor, they were like on the same ‘tone’! They were the kind of people who say “babe” but like platonically while saying “dude” romantically. They could just chill and have fun, or maybe doing shenanigans.
5. They ‘bravely’ care for each other
Rachel got sliced by Percy in their first encounter, but minutes later she helped him from the skeleton army. She helped him again with the empousas, the labyrinth, hit the Titan’s Lord with a blue plastic hairbrush, and made a sh!tty deal so she can go to the warzone and help Percy. “In her own way, Rachel was brave.” When Percy felt like Rachel was going to be the Oracle, he said “it filled me with dread” and angrily tried to stop it from happening ‘cause he was afraid she could end up tragically.. Or was it? Wasn’t he also didn’t want her to be off-limits???
I stand by this ship and I think Percy should’ve dated Rachel :)

Sighing she walked around around her Tokyo Apartment to where her 12 month old daughter sat on her Pom Pom Purin mat engrossed by kids show on NHK.
“Your family has not seen you in a while! We’d like to see Erika!” blasted through the speaker.
“No you mean you want to show off Erika then discuss for hours that she didn’t come from my body!” she sat down on the sofa in front of the tv.

There wasn’t a real, decent explanation Rikki could give as to why she was standing in the foyer of the mansion. She had left her place to get away and went hiking around in the woods. Her timing was terrible, for thunderclouds rolled in, and Rikki was quick and desperate to find shelter. She found a driveway and now here she was, slipping inside just as the downpour began.
