As I have recently returned to university I have been consumed with trying to decode the ‘perfect uni wardrobe’. Fixated on how to get the most bang for my buck in wearable, comfortable, fashionable pieces that I can mix & match through out the semester!
I turned to the queens of off-duty styling for my inspiration! With constant access to fashion, these girls hold the key to the 'how to look stylish’ vault. Im talking about models off duty (think Miranda Kerr) and it-girls like Olivia Palermo and Lara Bingle. The girls taking the looks from the catwalk, and making them wearable in everyday life!
Elle Furguson (They All Hate Us Blog) is another name that springs to mind! Her effortlessly cool styling, the way she recycles pieces of her wardrobe and sticks to the basics is reminiscent of how I would like to look while I study (Lets be real -this how I would like to look everyday!!!).
With a cool mix of laid-back essentials and polished pieces, these girls make dressing for the everyday look easy!
Talulah is one of my favourite labels! My wardobe is full of their beautiful pieces! I always find their fits & cuts are so well tailored to my body shape! Designer Kelli Wharton uses amazing fabrics, in beautiful custom prints & colour pallets. I always feel super special when I am wearing a Talulah piece!
Hence why I have entered this Talulah Styling competition! I chose to style the stunning Peony Dress in lilac. Inspired by the colours of this beautiful little teacup, and the feminity it represents. I used the soft hues of pink, purple & moss found i the Erickson Beamon necklace paired with the metallic sequin sole of these Miu Miu pointed pumps. Creating a truly girlies, playful look. Think Gossip Girl, feminine waistlines, over the top statement jewellery & high tea.
