LIVE

Hey girls, thought I would share with you my current ‘wishlist’ & the images that have inspired these cravings!  I am having trouble finding somethings on it, and by this I mean I  can’t afford the leather skirt I want (hello PU) and can’t justify Miu Miu Sneakers, so I am on the hunt for more justifiable options!!

I (daily) go through fazes of wanting new pieces for my wardrobe. I don’t like wearing the same thing twice, and like to play around with different looks. I think from working in fashion boutiques, I have become accustom to having lots of options when getting dressed!

Lately I have been trying to cut my wardrobe down to basics. Like quality blazers and t’s. I am aiming for a wardrobe of luxurious basics & statement party dresses. Right now I am working on the basics collection..

1. Nude Leather Pencil Skirt image

I have been craving some serious denim this weekend ( a nice change from carbs & sugar). I have been on an online scavenger hunt for jeans -ripped jeans, white jeans, cropped jeans -even dabbled in demin cut-offs, denim shirts & came across a pair of denim sneakers (by Lee Jeans, $25, Cute!).

I don’t know if its because I’ve been on holidays, or spent to much time stalking Elle Furgesson on instagram, or because I know Im heading back to university soon, but Im obsessed. I never was a jeans sort of girl until I started university. I soon realised that fitting in was a hard thing  to do in a psychology degree when your the only one not sporting sneakers and jeans!

I was going to rant on about why I think you should test this out yourself, but  found these great tips on how to wear denim on denim on Lauren Condrads blog & thought what could be better than tips from Jssirite? Try tips from someone with credibility haha!!! Heres what Lauren had to say;

  1. Two-toned. One of the most important things to know about wearing denim head-to-toe is that your shades of blue don’t have to match. In fact, I think it keeps the look more interesting when lighter denim is paired with a darker wash. Throw on a pair of lighter boyfriend jeans, a basic tee, and a dark denim jacket for a two-toned look that will actually appear fashionably put together.
  2. Sugar and spice. Similar to trying a two-toned denim look, mixing distressed pieces with cleaner cuts is another way to rock the trend. Combine your go-to skinnies with a distressed chambray shirt (buttoned all the way up and tucked in) for a cool spin on this classic look. I would even add a preppy pea coat, a brown leather belt and riding boots to make it autumn-appropriate—oh and a sparkly bauble too, of course.
  3. Element of surprise. Don’t limit your style by thinking that denim pieces can only come in the form of basic tops and bottoms. Fall fashion forecasts have shown everything from knee-length blue jean pencil skirts to denim designer handbags. Make the most of the trend this season by layering a collared chambray shirt under a plaid sweater or throwing a denim vest over a sweater dress.

Here’s my latest addition to my denim collection;  S&B The Inside Shirt. I have wanted it for AGES, so when it finally went on sale boxing day I knew I had to snap it up! After an alcohol free New Year I felt it was well deserved! I think its a perfect uni basic!
