Walkway through a local industrial area.

From a recent walk along the Coquitlam River. This small river runs through the towns of Coquitlam and Burnaby before joining the Fraser River. Parts of it run through dense industrial and residential neighbourhoods. This project addresses the difficulty of keeping these waterways not only open, but healthy. This section of the river runs under a small local roadway.

Today I found a new garden to explore. While it is small, it is very active. There is a renewal of a wetlands area as well as the garden plots are found throughout the area.

Back taking images in the garden today. There is nowhere else I know of that shows the interaction of people with the environment as well. It’s where I do much of my best work. Soon the gardens will start to get out of control and demand their own goals.

From my small garden series, which I’m currently making into a small book. Each plot is different, reflecting the people who grow things in the space.
