These are my images from the Boston Marathon Bombings. I was the first photographer to the site of the second blast. All images were taken within five minutes of the bombings. My hope is that these pictures demonstrate the pain and terror of the situation without damaging the dignity of those with already damaged bodies.
This past weekend I shot the revolutionary war reenactments in Lexington, MA. The work is the beginning of a larger project on Gun Culture for the upcoming third issue of Jay Peg’s. I find it to be a perfect balance between the importance of guns in the establishment of this country’s independence while also showing how guns are perceived currently, especially by the youth.
