Far too many people buy bunnies for Easter thinking they’ll be a cute, fun, easy pet for their kids—and end up dumping or neglecting them once the kids lose interest! House rabbits can’t survive in the wild and require just as much care as cats or dogs. Most don’t like being cuddled and are considered exotic pets, so it can be difficult to find a vet who specializes in exotic animals. House rabbits can be wonderful fur children with big personalities, but the majority of rabbits purchased on Easter will sadly be dumped or neglected.
