I’ve only seen most of these character tropes like, once, in horror but, having watched a bunch of scary movies this October, I feel like we need more of them:
person who thinks clowns are really funny, actually
additional unrelated monster who constantly gets in the way of the main monster
absolutely normal guy who’s just in the wrong place at the wrong time and has to spend the movie trying to explain that he’s not a slasher villain
area woman who goes apeshit on the person/group of people trying to kill her
dude who genuinely doesn’t realize he’s the villain for like 90% of the story
could you imagine being sheriff hassan and going to your first easter vigil like surely catholics aren’t as weird as they seem on tv, and then a guy gets turned into a vampire within like 8 minutes.
