Here’s my piece for @kaishinbigbang! This was my first year participating and I had a wonderful time thank you everyone for your hard work and a special thank you to the amazing work the mods put into this project <3
Preview season has started so here’s a quick look at the piece I’ll be posting this year for @kaishinbigbang alongside an amazing accompanying fic by @squidpro-quo stay tuned (and check of the bang’s blog) for more!
I just wanted to quickly congratulate all 55 participants for making it to the end of this long and arduous event. I hope you all had fun despite the stress, and I hope everyone else continues to enjoy the content that the participants created!

There are also a few people i want to specifically thank! First is @jodaneko, who is the graphics-maker for this year’s event as well as the graphics-maker for @dcmkkaishinevents. Second is @n3rdlif343va, who was a great help to me when it came to running the discord when I had to be away. Third is @artistfingers, who was kind enough to create an art piece to honor this year’s bang event, which you can find here.
Regarding the 2022 event, please keep an eye out. I may or may not be moving countries so there is a possibility that the bang will not happen next year, or that it will happen at a different time of the year. In the meantime, if you are interested in participating in more Kaishin events, please check out @dcmkkaishinevents, where I’ll soon be hosting a secret santa for the winter holidays!

There is a story that goes that, in the mist-shrouded days of 2001, when maybe five or six English-speakers had ever heard the name Meitantei Conan and any idea of import was beyond ridiculous, some brave, nameless soul posted to Fanfiction.net the world’s first fully-functioning KaiShin epic.
If that epic ever existed, it has long since been wiped - and there are reasons aplenty to believe it never did. But we are dreamers and magicians, and so we honor its twenty-years legacy with raised glasses and epics of our own.
May the dreamers and magicians twenty—or fifty, or a hundred—years down the line do as much for us.
