The sun on your face (the friends who stick by you), hot chocolate on a cold day (sleep unplauged by nightmares), the smell of the ocean breeze (food not tasting of ash). You never know what you have until it’s gone. For a thief who’s had everything taken away from him, and a detective who’s pushed everyone away, life has never felt more bleak. Perhaps with one another, they can find a reason to live again.
One of my goals for this year was to make at least one complete art per month so I could make an art summary by the end of the year. And I did it, so here we go! I used this template! :D

I missed it last year and I didn’t want to miss this year…. even if I only remembered about it today. Because I’m the worst with dates. But I was able to finish a thing in time to celebrate ;u;
The sky opened up over Tokyo, pouring all of its weight down on the two men standing outside the wedding hall. They both were soaked, though one had an umbrella and was doing the best he could to cover the other who kept walking out from underneath it in his distraction.
“That’s why I don’t understand. Why? Weren’t soulmates fated to be…?”
“Weren’t you?” Hakuba said in response. “I’ve never put much stock in them, myself.”
Kaito frowned, wrapping his arms around himself. “That’s easy for you to say as a blank.”
“Defective from birth,” Hakuba said with a wry smile, though his eyes shuttered, and seemed to dim.
“I don’t expect you to understand,” Kaito said.
His smile fell. “No, I don’t suppose a blank would know what it means to be in love with someone who is in love with someone else.”
