Pictures from kayaking at Lan Ha Bay near Cat Ba Island, Vietnam. I went with local outfitter Blue Swimmer, it was $15 for the guide and $15 for the kayak rental for 4.5 hrs. I had the best time!

Pictures were taken by my travel buddy Adam Niblett, though he ended up staying in Vietnam and I’m in Manila Airport on my way to Palawan.

We spent almost 5 hours sea kayaking through floating villages and around sea stacks, under natural rock arches and to private sand beaches. It was great! And no boats or people around, just eagles flying over us and our friendly guide from Blue Swimmer leading the way. My arms were super tired by the end of the kayaking trip, I even got a blister on my thumb.

Today I spent the morning walking along the water on a nice path built o the side of a cliff. There were no people, no vendors, no motorbike drivers. I spent almost 2 hrs meditating while gazing into the Lan Ha Bay. So wonderful! Then with Adam I went to Cannon Fort and saw 360 degree view of the bay. Fantastic day! Cat Ba Island has been my favorite place in Vietnam. I’ll be back some day!
