It is difficult to choose one place as your favorite in a country that is full of beauty. However, if someone asks me, I would answer Landmannalaugar. We stood still on the top of Brennisteinsalda observing the incredible landscape composed of colorful mountains and lava fields, all shaped by the rough forces of Mother Nature. No filters are needed in these photographs. Thanks Iceland, it was a memorable experience. The weather in Iceland is so dynamic that sometimes you have to force yourself to stop shooting otherwise you could stay in one place for ages. The clouds on this particular day were moving so fast, light playing with the green mossy mountain, showing different accents every 5 minutes or so that, although I had to rush, I couldn’t just pass by this magnificent landscape. The contrast between the seemingly lifeless black desert and the small tufts of wildflowers growing in between the stones was really captivating. I was stopping every 200-300m. to take a photo from a new vantage point and capture a completely different light shining down on the mountain.
Somewhere on the Laugavegur trail - my advice is to buy some plane tickets (or ferry perhaps) and check out for yourself where that image was shot :) Happy travelling!

Iceland is magic. I’ve spent two months there last year from end of August to end of October. I’ve seen summer, autumn and a sneak peak of the winter. I’ve walked and hitchhiked my way around the island. I thought I would go crazy being alone for two months, sleeping every night in a tent, rarely having something to read, or music to listen, eating the same food every single day. And in the end - I didn’t want to leave. Everything changes so fast there showing you the same places in different light. Sights that you didn’t even realise were there when you were passing by them the previous time, pop-up again and again. It just never gets boring when you travel there but you definitely need time to do this properly and to enjoy this place to the fullest. Having no plan and having a lot of time always helps for a good time :) I’m doing a project that includes around 15 photos I took for my two months there and, what I think could be more interesting, info on what I did and how I actually travelled there for two months with 400€. Hopefully you will be able to see this in the upcoming month. This is Storasula peak on the Laugavegur trail - the most popular Icelandic trek and with a reason. At the time I was taking this photo the wind was blowing with around 80-90km/h and I had to hold my tiny tripod so it doesn’t fly off with my camera. My tent was having a very hard time as the winds blew past midnight when they stopped and I finally managed to get some sleep. Well… Iceland is magic and it could be terrific at times :)
