I hope that everyone is doing well and most importantly doing your part while we still try to get out of the woods with this while Covid-19 situation. Not sure if it’s the warm weather, or the fact that all of the flowers are finally in bloom at my house, but it feels like there is a tiny light at the end of the tunnel. Beauty bay is back! Today, I pay tribute to one of my Korean friends (and actually my only Korean friend, Caroline) who was the FIRST to tell me so many good things about Korean beauty tips and brands.

I already talked about Korean makeup products, and especially lipsticks, the Laneige two tones lip bar, remember? If not, that was here.
Months later, I have fallen in love with other brands from Korea, so let’s have a look at my favorite it products right now!
1. Erborian (bamboo eye)
This brand is literally my favorite right now! Made from a collaboration between two women: French and Korean. Read more on their website about their innovative ideas.
When you read or hear bamboo, suddenly it seems an interesting thing. Indeed, bamboo has hydrating and mattifying properties and this is why I was more than inclined to try on the Erborian Bamboo line. As you already know my face skin is often dry but also too shiny by the end of the day and particularly on the T zone. And my eyes are, you know, a complete problem: crying, drying, hurting,… I always need to pay attention to that zone and if I don’t wear eye cream then my makeup will never last.
In Erborian products I like the texture, how smooth it is, how easy to apply, and how full the bottles are!
2. Amore Pacific (lip treatment)
In case you don’t already know the brand, you have to go and have a look at their website - the leaders of Korean Beauty available here. I was more than crazy happy to finally find the lips saver my friend talked me about in NY and I have to admit she was right, the product keeps the promises! Sharped lips, dry lips, whatever lips problems you have: this one is your lips saver.
3. Laneige (two tone shadow bar)
I was waiting for this one for TWO SUPER LONG MONTHS and finally I was able to have it in my hands last week. I love how easy it becomes to create a super smokey eyes, or graduation on your eyes,… Find the whole “how to” on the website.
I chose 2 Golden Roseand4 Coffee Bronze, you will see how it really looks on the skin below. I have to say, it is very easy to apply, very shiny, and I like that. The only two negative things are: first the two colors are blending and second it is very hydrating. Of course, I tried it on during the most humid week of the year here and my base didn’t fix the whole thing. Sooooo if you want it to last, really pay attention to the base you first put, and don’t hesitate to first apply a matte nude eyeshadow.
4. Laneige (eyeliner)
I wanted to try it because I have sensible eyes so can’t put waterproof eyeliner but I need an eyeliner that stays longer than any usual one. For that reason, the eyeliner was perfect: you can scrub your eyes as much as you want, it won’t disappear - it will only go off when demakeup (and that’s crazy how easy it then disappear, but I think it is more my demakeup lotion that is great). But, the pen itself is really bad: it becomes kinda weak, and leaves some parts sometimes so yes I was a little bit disappointed by that. And also the liquid is hardly going to the end of the pen so you have to shake it and push it on your hand before, make some tests.

ErborianandAmore Pacific are available at Sephora. Laneige is harder to find but not impossible: find it on amazon or other Asian resellers. Or the best: having someone from Asian countries or living there or going for some vacay!
