Rizzo is a character in the musical “Grease.” She’s the leader of the “Pink Ladies” gang. There’s a scene in Grease where Marty (one of the Pink Ladies) says that someone tried to slip an aspirin into her coke at a school dance. Back in the day they thought that combination could be used as a date rape drug… though that’s just an old urban legend.

Linkin Park is a rock band active from 1996 until present day, though they’re taking a hiatus after the untimely death of the frontman Chester Bennington. Linkin Park is one of the best selling bands of 21st century. In 2012, Billboard ranked them 19th on their Best Artists of the Decade list. They have also won 2 Grammys to Rory’s 0. LOL :p

Happy Days is a TV show that ran for 11 seasons from 1974 to 1984. When the show begins, the main characters are in high school but they start college in season 5.

Valley Girl is a comedy song by Frank Zappa and his daughter Moon Zappa. The song was created using real conversations that Moon had with her friends. The song was meant as an attack of popular slang of the time, especially ones used by “valley girls.” Some of the lyrics are:

Who Moved My Cheese? is a book written by Spencer Johnson. It sounds like a kids book but turns out it’s a “motivational business book.” lol

Henry James is an American author best known for writing such books as “The Turn Of The Screw” and “The Portrait Of A Lady.” John Adams was the second President of US and he was in office from 1797 until 1801. W.E.B Du Bois was an American sociologist, civil rights activist, and author. Some of his many accomplishments include being the first African American to earn a doctorate. He was a professor of history, sociology, and economics at Atlanta University and in 1909 he was one of the founders of NAACP. Yo Yo Ma is a cellist who was born in France. He graduated from Julliard and Harvard. He has released 90 albums and has received 18 Grammy Awards. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011. In 2020, he was on Time’s list of the 100 most influential people. Fred Gwynne was an actor best known for his starring role as Herman Munster in the TV series “The Munsters” (which has one of my favorite TV theme songs btw) :)

David Lynch is an American filmmaker known for “Eraserhead,” “The Elephant Man” and his TV Series “Twin Peaks.” Pauline Kael (a film critic) labeled him the “First popular surrealist” in film and TV.
