The graphic of this T-Shirt was inspired by a long admired photograph by Miyashita, taken by Joseph Szabo. It was shredded “as if part of a recorded film you’d pressed pause on using a clapped-out VHS machine.”

Joseph Szabo’s work captured all the “angst and excitement of being caught between childhood and adulthood.” The picture the T-Shirt’s graphic is inspired on is called Priscilla after the girl pictured, and it was taken back in 1969.
