The haunted mansion celebrated its 51st birthday a few days ago!! I felt unspired to join the jamboree
A fascinating but frustrating aspect of writing about parks lore is that, even internally, lore is never solid or consistent.
Which is just a fancy intro to the fact that I just read a 1977 Haunted Mansion Standard Operating Procedure manual that spelled Leota’s name as Liotta. Like, Ray Liotta.
Tangled Haunted Mansion - Vigor the Visionary as Madam Leota
A few days ago, I suddenly got in my head to draw parallels between various Haunted Mansion ghosts and characters from Tangled/Tangled the Series. I knew I wanted to do at least one before Halloween, so of all the ideas I came up with, I decided to draw Vigor as Madam Leota. (And Hamuel as the raven.) I chose this for two main reasons:
1) Leota is possibly the most iconic HM ghost
2) Vigor and Hamuel don’t get much love as far as fanart goes
