Sadly, there was no extravagant gingerbread house crafted for the 2020 holiday season, instead, I’ve decided to post my all-time favorite gingerbread house: the 2009 “Scary-Go-Round”.
I am planning to write an article about celebrities who are also Haunted Mansion fans. Outside a few names including director Guillermo Del Toro, actors Neil Patrick Harris and Ryan Gosling and SFX makeup artist Rick Baker, i don’t know who else is - maybe you can answer this ? As the Haunted Mansion fandom is mostly american, i guess there are local celebrities we don’t really know here in Europe who may be into it. Please i need help on this - thank you.

This is like the third time they’ve done this plot
Imagine getting What We Do in the Shadows out of the Fox purchase and not using that as an easy template for a comedy skewed Mansion movie.
Oh my god they couldn’t be more boring and overdone. When are we going to get a movie about the ghosts haunting the house and not the dumb ass losers moving into the house??
They will neverget it right. The fact that they refuse to acknowledge the ‘happy’ in ‘happy haunts’ is simply hilarious at this point. Not that you can’t have a villainous ghost amongst the bunch, but the focus shouldn’t be on them.
The selling points should be the dark and surreal humor and the alluring strangeness of the mansion itself.
‘Exorcise’ and ‘Haunted Mansion’ shouldn’t even be ALLOWED in the same sentence unless the first word is used in the context of exorcising the fear of death with humor.

Phantom Manor was probalby one of the most influencial things in my life since my parents dragged me on it at the tender age of three. I metabolized and reimagined its story several times during the years both through the creation of original characters that were based on those from the ride or simply by putting not-so-subtle references to it in my work. And in my humble opinion, that’s the greatest accomplishment any story can achieve: spark a child‘s imagination and inspire more stories.
I am immensely grateful to the Imagineers for what they did with the 2018-2019 refurbishment and I hope they will continue to show this unique attraction the love it deserves. I know that the changes have been quite the divisive topic within the fandom (believe me, I understand :V) but I absolutely love them and can’t wait to experience the new version of the ride myself.
Now that high quality pictures of the Foyer portrait had publicly surfaced on the Internet, we can have a good look upon all the details of the paintings by artist Greg Pro. The most interesting detail to me is that Melanie is actually portrayed with a mourning dress and not a wedding dress as previously supposed. But it makes more sense now. Or else it wouldn’t have matched the bridal dress from the Gallery portrait and the animatronics.

Le détail le plus intéressant selon moi est le fait que Mélanie porte en fait une robe de deuil et non une robe de mariée comme précédemment supposé. Mais cela a désormais plus de sens, sinon elle ne concorderait pas avec la robe sur le portrait de la Galerie et des animatronics.

Theory: The Hitchhiking Ghosts are the pirates that try to convince the dog in Pirates of the Caribbean to give them the keys. They never get the keys and die in the jail. How’d they get to the Haunted Mansion, you ask? They hitchhiked.

There’s a theory that i like : In the Haunted Mansion’s Graveyard scene, there is a section with a king and a queen playing teeter-totter on a tombstone. These characters look like real historical figures King James the 1st of England (1566 -1623) and Queen Victoria (1819-1901). Both these royals were heavily involved with America where the mansion is located. The country was colonized under Jame’s reign and the industrial revolution spreaded under Victoria’s reign. There’s a lot of victorian influence and style in the ride. This also could be a visual pun with the expression “Playing Victoria and Albert”, even though the king is not Prince Albert, the Queen’s husband. This expression comes from the passionate relationship Victoria had with her beloved husband, which was rare for royals commonly used to arranged marriages.
