We’re still a little heartbroken from Mao Asada’s short program, but, MAJOR PROPS for landing the triple axel in the long program at the Olympics!!! Redemption!!! 

Also… Mao Asada should have medaled. Her performance was so much more captivating than Carolina Kostner’s.

And her bling is way cooler. #Justsayin

You guys… Mao Asada gave the most powerful performance we’ve seen. You could feel her heart in everything she did tonight. We thought Yvgeni Plushenko bared his soul to the world, but in comparison to Mao… all he did was wink.

We actually wept.

Also… her costume is UNREAL. Just the most beautiful blue with intricate blings. We mean, did you see the wrist detailing? The blue creeping up her back. The way the skirt flowed as she glided across the ice. This is one of our favorite looks…
