Masaru is a fan of Inuyasha and Fullmetal Alchemist and so is Tohma in regards to the latter. There is nothing you can say to change my mind. 

Villain 1- how can Masaru have a son?

Villain 2- It’s a long story, but we need to be weary of him because if he’s anything like Masaru, he’s probably impulsive with a thirst for a fight

Masaru and Takeru absolutely became buddies during the Quartzmon crisis while bonding over shared traumas of nearly losing a loved one (Patamon/Angemon in Takeru’s case, Augumon and Suguru in Masaru’s case)
