Broken Realities and perfect fantasies (sneak peak)

A sneak peak for the first chapter ig-

“Marinette Dupain-Cheng is the lousiest designer I have ever seen. Anyone praising her should get their eyes checked,” Marinette read the words aloud, each word like a stab in the back. Felix had said all those terrible things about her. Felix had insulted her work.

She felt the tears threatening to spill. She felt hurt, betrayed, and angry.

This was not the person she once knew.

Felix only frowned. He was an idiot if he thought he could trust her. Marinette had reposted his poem and said it was hers.

He re-read the post. It was a poem he wrote. The one about his dad. The one where he let all his emotions out.

He had only shown the poem to Marinette. He trusted her not to hurt him.She had taken the first bit of vulnerability he showed her and used it against him. Was her whole personality a lie?

This was not the person he once knew.

Felix: *with little to no relationship experience* “Thanks, cutiepie.”

Marinette: "Ugh.“

A: "Sorry, I’ll think of a better one than cutiepie. You’re my angel…. dust. Sorry, that’s a drug.”

Felix: I made tea.

Marinette: I don’t want tea.

Felix: I didn’t make tea for you. This is my tea.

Marinette: Then why are you telling me?

Felix: It’s a conversation starter.

Marinette: That’s a lousy conversation starter.

Felix: Oh, is it? We’re conversing. Checkmate

Man it’s been awhile since I posted on here I mostly post on my Instagram and recently I’ve been posting on my Twitter. I wanted to post this one here as well though as this was where I first posted the original drawing.

I’m constantly going back and finding inspiration in my old pics and tracking my progress through redraws and I’ve been super excited to redraw this pic. Its incredible seeing the difference in my art style and quality. The original pic was done when I was first dabbling with lineless art and using my old tablet and computer. It was honestly a wreck looking back all bad shading, questionable proportions and triangle hands. (Not to mention my old laptop had serious colour issues that made it impossible for the correct colours to transfer over)

Its so rewarding to see this picture revamped with more accurate colour, better and cleaner shading, fixed proportions and actual fingers.

I’ve started doing a series of my favourite kwami swap designs it’s been super fun so far and first up is Fennette whose design was created by the amazing @lunian this is by far my favorite Fox!Marinette and it was so fun to draw. I did add the little toe beans because I just think they look adorable

“Come out, come out, wherever you are!”

Ladybug panted as she slid down the steep side of the roof, away from the akuma. The battle had dragged on for almost an hour now, and it was one of the hardest. Hawkmoth was getting better at this, and Chat Noir… well, he hadn’t shown up yet. But she couldn’t focus on that right now.
She pushed her concern aside. She couldn’t deal with that and the amount of pain she was in at the same time. She wasn’t sure exactly what the akuma’s power had been, but she could say that being struck in the back by it felt a lot like what she imagined being cataclysmed in the ribs felt like.
