An 18 yo white terrorist in full military gear killed ten people in a grocery store and was taken into custody alive. Ten people were massacred while doing their weekly shopping on a beautiful, sunny Saturday afternoon. Less than 50 miles away from there, I’m outside weeding my garden and listening to birds sing. Life is a game of cruel chance.
A white man not from the local area who specifically came to a busy store in a black neighborhood. How telling.

It has been 8 years since the 2012 Aurora, Colorado shooting, committed by James Holmes. The Aurora shooting occurred during a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises. Twelve people were killed and seventy others were injured by Holmes.
[Holmes plead not guilty by reason of insanity, he was later sentenced to 12 consecutive life sentences plus 3,318 years without parole. Holmes was convicted of 24 counts of first-degree murder, 140 counts of attempted first-degree murder, and one count of possessing explosives.]
