So, I am honestly silently screaming because we finally get bio updates to champions that you guys know… well… I’m quite familliar of.

So to start this off, if you haven’t seen the new bio’s you can look them up or  here is a link to surrender at 20 that has all 3 bios and an Akali short story pushed together.

At first I was honestly dreading this update, because I am not quite entirely fond of what they had done with Akali to begin with. I was scared they would turn Shen to be this kind of monster to the eyes of the viewer and GOD AM I GLAD THAT THEY DIDN’T. 

Recently I have been talking about what Shen’s ideals have to be, where his position in the story now is that Akali is gone and if his emotions will be too much for him to handle if him and Zed do get their hands back on Jhin.
I am glad that Riot decides to send Shen into a path that makes him seem more human and questionable to the ideals of what his fathers teachings were, if his own capability is enough and that he didn’t completely rid himself of emotions. All of this thanks to this simple sentence here:

“Others, like Shen, endured the consequences of war—he persisted in his duty, while in private he wrestled with his hatred for Zed, and doubt in his own ability to lead. “

followed up by 

“Sometimes, between unseen struggles in the spirit realm, Shen still contemplates the value of his beliefs. He has never let his emotions stop him from preserving tradition, but the question remains: how long can one man walk two worlds, before the acts of one destroy the other?“ 

And this might sound fucking wild but I am SO glad that they openly show that Shen is not just a blind follower and thinks about where the Kinkou stand and if the duty he’s trying to follow is the right one/will be enough. He is going towards a step of modernization, since the Kinkous ideals were very oudated for their time. (Hence, if he followed it religiously we would have a second Thanos in our hands)

The next thing that surprised me was Zed’s update- seemingly everything still stayed the same except for the way he stumbled upon the shadow box and how he was exiled. I’m not sure if I prefer this way of how it happened, but it would show that Zed truly is just the ultimate warrior who follows his ideals to make Ionia rise above. 

A little interesting Bio part was the exact sentence:

“Though he did not reconcile with Shen and the remaining Kinkou, now scattered throughout the provinces, they reached an uneasy accord in the aftermath of the war. Zed knew what he had done could not be undone.”

AND THIS MAKES ME WONDER, did Zed aim to reconnect with Shen? Did he fantasize about the idea of connecting them once more into the Kinkou now that Kusho is out of the way. Obviously it follows up with denial, but is this proof that Zed does not actually hate Shen? We don’t see a single mention of this in his bio, everything that lead to his change was the cause of Kusho. Him and Shen always stood on equal grounds.. so maybe????

When it comes to Master Yi they just went full throttle and decided to punch me in the gut with 10 fists of feelings by including a small bit of Yi’s childhood which makes me want to bawl 10000x as hard as when I did before it was mentioned. Not only did they mention Yi’s parents, no, they had to go the extra step to EXACTLY EXPLAIN HOW EVERYONE WAS PROUD OF YI AND HOW HE LOSTEVERYTHING
