Ryeon + Arrows
the way joong gil slid the sword along his thumb then sheated it??? i’m salivating
okay but i’m not mentally stable
Are they accusing us of prostituting ourselves to return here alive?
Yes.
I can’t believe this. Had I known it was going to be like this, I shouldn’t have come back!
Joong Gil’s nightmare is reliving his crimes and his last moments with Ryeon where he believes she is disappointed in him and chooses to take her life. Even though spurred by love and loyalty, it’s a moment that likely invokes grief, regret, shame, helplessness, and devastating loss. He started so adamantly “no sympathy for a suicidal person, it’s their fault” but we finally see it’s misplaced guilt and frustration - he isn’t haunted by his wife’s corpse but by the choice he made because he blames himself for her death.
thinking about how fate/the red string was broken between joonggil and ryeon & yet they found their way back to each other in the end
