They are back
If I say I was not expecting the boys to come back some day, I would be lying. I totally expected them to come back once Beemoov couldn’t milk MCL anymore, but I’ll say that this happened sooner than I thought!
It’s a business, Beemoov likes money and of course the boys are bringing good money! and they were soooooo stubborn! they always knew how much the fandom cared about Lysander, Armin and Kentin and they still refused to put them back in the main storyline. And I believe that it was out of pride. They didn’t want to accept that they were wrong when they got rid of the boys.
Anyways, a lot of things had happened in this almost 4 years. I played MCLU till the middle of episode 4 and I got mad at Alexy and since I was butthurt because of Kentin I didn’t keep playing. But I complete all the events (but I didn’t gave them a single cent). I’m talking about my account in the US server, because in my main account in the Spanish server I never started the adventure in the University. Because if you don’t start it, you won’t break up with your crush lol
So, I cannot play events because it’s necessary to start MCLU or MCLLL.
Oh, and by the way, when I play the events in the US server I only get black clothes because my Candy is a widow mourning Kentin lol
And she is always crying because of her lost love
Anyways, I know people that won’t forget Beemoov. They were pretty rude a lot of times, they lost the trust of a lot of players, not only because of the boys (MCL AND ELDARYA), but because they raised the prices, the events were so difficult and full of bugs, they banned the YouTube videos, and many people say that the story was weak and soulless -which I cannot know because I followed the story till MCLU and I don’t really know what happened in Love Life besides you can cheat on your partner-. I think the final straw was that they didn’t have a backup of the translations of the Eldarya episodes. I know the fire destroyed all the players data for most of the servers, and it wasn’t their fault, but not having in their own archives the raw episodes with the translations is so irresponsable and lazy to me. Now all the servers are forced to play it in English because that server was not in the fire… Imagine… they could have lost the whole game! They didn’t store a copy of the raw game!! Whatever I’m losing focus here lol… what I’m trying to say is that I understand that some people won’t forgive all the shit that Beemoov has pulled off all these years…
Me? I was so mad and the new crushes and the beautiful new art were not enough for me. I said: if you don’t bring my boy back, I won’t give you any more money (I used to put money on the game every month for years!)
Lys is coming back now and as some people already pointed out, they are keeping Armin and my sweet Kentin hostages. Lys spinoff has to be a success in order to get the other boys.
So, Beemoov, do you think that after all the pain I went through and after feeling insulted by your policies, after being actually insulted by other players I will come back?. After almost 4 years don’t you think I moved on? Do you think I’m going to fall for your emotional blackmail and give you money to play Lysanders special episode because that could mean I will have Kentin back? And not in the main story, but a side story with only 4 episodes???

As someone who was extremely excited -and heartbroken- for the Carnival, I’m so glad this got made ♥ And since I’ve been very inactive ever since UL released, I thought it’d be nice to do this :3
What rides does your candy like? Kiddy ones? Extreme roller coasters? Spinny ones?
Antoinett loves roller coasters. The more drops, speed and loops, the better. However, she also does enjoy some kid’s rides, particularly those which tell stories along the way through animatronics and Aerial Carousels. The only no-gos for her are the Spinning Teacups and Kamikaze.
Fair games, does your candy even bother to play these rigged things? Which ones/what’s their favorite, also their favorite one to do with their love interest!
Yes! She is lowkey addicted to the claw machine, though she’s never overspent on it. Granted, she’s very good at it, so she usually succeeds after a couple of trials; but that’s about how far it goes. Having grown up as a part of a carnival herself, she simply knows most other games are rigged to a point; so unless she knows the gamemaster at hand, she won’t play. Her favorite to play with Lysander is definitely the Water Gun Race, since it’s a certain win. Still, she also loves to play the Claw with his assistance through the glass :]P
If they win what prize do they pick? Would they get something for the LI? What would it be?
Since Antoinett plays the Claw out of pure enjoyment, she never keeps the prize and instead gives it to somebody else- most likely to whoever she’s with or her niece. The only prizes she’d actually want for herself are the ones found inside the Japanese machines. Otherwise, she’d most definitely give Lys the prize- chosen beforehand by him, of course. She’d make sure he’d be getting something he’d actually want. And, clearly, if he showed interest in any other prize from another game, she wouldn’t stop playing it until she got it for him- as rigged as it may be. Or, y’know- If she happens to know who’s in charge of the tent, she’d just buy it for him while he’s distracted, being the little con rascal she is.
Fair foods: favorite savory snack? Sweet treat? What weird food would they/have they tried if any?
She is very old-school in some aspects, food being one of them: For her, just some good old popcorn for a quick snack. For a more proper meal, she’d most likely have some pepperoni pizza or spicy fried chicken. She’s very selective with what she’s putting into her stomach, so no adventurous foods for her. Since she’s not a candy person, she’d just get some chocolate milkshake to fulfill that sweetness need or some sour belts.
Do they enjoy the animal exhibits? If so, which ones?
Antoinett is completely against anything that showcases animals for entertainment, be that the circus or a zoo.
Fairs usually have lots of varied entertainment, which one is your candy going to see? Concert? Magician? Animal show?
Antoinett loves magic shows. Those are her absolute favorite. She’s often gone out of her way to attend proper magic shows, and it’s one of the reasons why she loves Vegas so much. She also truly adores the Globe of Death, and always anticipates it whenever she’s in the circus. Additionally, she likes to visit the gypsies whenever they’re around and get her fortune told- after all, it was them who took Antoinett and her mother under their wings and into the carnival. She always had plans to become a fortune teller herself and date the cute magician, if only she hadn’t been taken away from that life.
What cute outfit is your candy going to be wearing? Pictures are a bonus! Bonus bonus for LI also!
Although I don’t play UL, and the fair is during HSL, I do prefer this base over the old one, so that’s why I’m using it :) And also because in most scenarios I imagine her with Lys they’re older anyway so shh
The outfit’s a mashup of her usual clothes and what she’d be wearing if she was still part of a carnival. Plus, she loves dressing up thematically :]P
Lysander would be wearing a poet shirt, an embroidered ebony vest -matching his trousers- and a ribbon tie in his signature green. His hair would be in a ponytail and he’d be wearing shoes instead of his usual boots.
Besides/in addition to the LI, which characters are accompanying your candy if any on this fun day? What do they add to the mix?
Lysander and Antoinett would arrive together and then just run into other people in there. Some would tag along longer, Like Castiel and Kim (who’s with Vio), and others would just chat for a tad and go about their noon, such as Priya and Iris. Of course, I have to include my boy Evan- who’s there with Armin and Alexy, trying to make up for the time lost and just have a good time altogether. Since Evan and Antoinett are very good friends, they also stay with them for a couple of hours. Castiel, as usual, is the perfect third-wheel; seen both his best friends dating is all he could ever wish for. He’d tease the couple by walking between them and always come in whenever a romantic interaction was about to happen. Yet, he’s the one to gather everyone else and drag them somewhere so Lys and Antoinett could have some alone time. Besides that, his competitiveness clashing with Antoinett’s hunger to win are always good laughs for the bystanders.
If this had been in an episode describe what would the illustration for your candy and the LI look like, multiple illustrations from your candy’s day with others?
We’d definitely see an illu of a photobooth strip-picture of Antoinett, Kim, Vio and Priya: On the first shot, they’d be making a face; On the second, they would’ve changed places and are now smiling; And on the third one, all the girls are squished to the side/back while part of Castiel’s face clogs the picture, since he jumped into the booth last second- Priya is laughing, Vio is hesitant, Kim is trying to protect her and Antoinett’s just plain angry.
Then, we’d have an illustration of Antoinett giving Lysander a plush Dory she just won in the claw machine as a small joke. Similarly, we have an illustration of Lys winning a plush white tiger for Antoinett- her spirit animal.
At last, we’d see Antoinett excitedly talking about her life in the carnival while they both walk through the fair, popcorn at hand, and Lysander’s gazing lovingly at her while she speaks. He’s also wearing a cute light on headband she bought him.
Anything else specific/special to your candy’s experience at the fair/carnival? Treat this like a free space!
Although Lysander knew of her past in the carnival, this was the first time they openly talked about it for a long time, and he got to know almost everything about her life there. Antoinett used to love that life, so it’s always been painful for her to speak of it and realise how much she missed. She really loved bringing her boyfriend into her world for a day, and was extremely happy with how much he seemed to have enjoyed it. If Lysander’s discrete about his life, Antoinett’s annoyingly evasive; her aledgedly open personality makes you think she’d be an open book, so when that expecation isn’t met, people get frustrated. This time around, it was good for her soul to open up, and seemed to have done him good as well.
I just had the saddest realization. Between Candy leaving town and Lysander becoming a hermit farmer, Castiel probably did his ‘rise to fame’ all alone. None of his best friends were there to celebrate his first paycheck, to comfort him when he got rejected to play in pubs or share advice whether to sign that contract or not. It’s hard for Castiel to get attached, but he also doesn’t let go easily, so that must’ve truly taken a toll on him.

Maybe after his father passed away he moved back to his mother and helped her there and they broke up because of the distance??
That’s a more optimistic view than what I had in mind! Though I don’t see him being one to break up because of distance- Only if, which is another recurring theory, Candy herself had moved those 4 years. Then I can see it. What I originally meant was just it being too overwhelming for him, both emotionally and time-wise, him having to deal with grief and just needing some space. I’m sure they won’t show the break-up, but when they meet again (which they will if they follow this break-up path, ‘cause romantic clichés), this is how they’d justify it.

In general, I think the other big thing that really kills me with route removal beyond removing a happy ending which is 95% of the reason why people play Otome games is there was still a lot of potential for their stories.
Lysander and Castiel were so close and I feel like of all the characters, Lysander also had a lot of passions we never really got to see in action. Even if he found a new respect on the farm through his love for his family (which was always clear) and I’m sure he’s still writing, I still can’t see him giving up his love of performing too. I think it would’ve been interesting to see him balance it all while learning to be more open with what he was struggling with. We only started seeing glimpses of that towards the end.
Kentin, even though he got a resolution with Candy, still had a lot to deal with in reference to his dad, but also trying to find that middleground between what he truly wanted and what he felt was expected of him as “a man” and those general masculinity issues. I think him dog training is absolutely good as he definitely loved being able to care for things and it also helped him use some of the things he learned from Military school in his own way. But it was also a good opportunity for him to grow separately from Candy to see her as an equal and not as something for him to worship on a pedestal. Of the three, he’s the only one I could see a break-up even kind of working with due to that reason, but they would absolutely get back together and it’d be love at first sight all over again.
Armin never got a resolution. And his job given was akin to thinking if someone really likes baking pastries, any job that involves baking/cooking is fine. Wanting to go into game development =/= any old computer job.
Armin’s arc focused on Alexy’s feelings. Armin’s spin-off focused on him making up with his brother and for some reason making Candy not understand his passions and once again forced to agree with Alexy at times because who knows why. Long distance should’ve been no issue and I just feel the general lack of properly talking about how Armin felt about his place in the family was a huge misstep on so many levels.
Also just imagine him using his hacking to help Nathaniel?? Makes way more sense than him just hacking whatever until he gets caught and thrown into a security job.
Not to mention maybe Candy wouldn’t be so inept with social media, games, and the internet if he actually stuck around so I could stop wanting to smack my head against something.
We learned about his childhood anxieties and so many of his hobbies, but we never really got to show how much of a priority he was and then he was just gone.
Plus all the random things thrown out?? Like how he was good with mom’s and had no issue getting caught? How many flings as he had? Castiel says outright that he had slept with Deborah, but we know nothing in reference to Armin (I would still say it never went that far as I think it would’ve been said if Castiel’s came up, but it just makes it weirder). There was still so much more to learn and be open about.
People complain his arc wasn’t romantic enough (which personally I liked– too much romance feels cheesy and forced to me– heck, even not very genuine), but I feel like we could’ve gotten more romantic moments in his own way if they didn’t cut him out entirely. He had really sweet moments and was always so observant of how Candy was feeling and I think he could’ve done some really great things and surprised her. But oh well.
Valkyon finally felt at peace and that in itself could’ve really opened him up for a full emotional connection over a more physical one. Him no longer having those weights on his shoulder. It’ a fantasy world for crying out loud, nobody has to stay dead.
And Ezarel… Saying how he wants to stop running away and does so again anyway completing reversing that character development including him going off on his own instead of depending on those who care for him. Everything with his hometown. Everything with Mary-Anne.
There were so many ways they could’ve had him react with Gardienne coming back. With him re-analyzing his actions. But instead he’s just gone. And there’s not a single way I can think of that going that isn’t tragic.

I finished the positive route of MCLAL episode 4.
It cost me 1282 AP.

You start this episode in the kitchen. Lysander and you are eating cold soup. You are thinking back about the amazing 5 days you had here at the farm. You see yourself living here, but in two days it is time for school. Lysander wants to know what your plans are with school. Will you come over for the weekends or are you going to stay at school? You were actually planning on living here at the farm. And drive every day to school. Lysander doesn’t find that a problem, but we are talking about an 8-hour round trip. You will be exhausted after two days, your free time will be gone, and what about your homework. You will do your homework at night or when you have a free hour. But you don’t even have a car. You could lend Lysander’s car, but what about gas prices. You have saved some money, but it is still going to cost a lot. Lysander finds this very unrealistic and complicated. You find that also, but you want to try. You can’t bear to be in the dorm room with a roommate. Especially when you can be with Lysander. You’ve already thought about it and if it doesn’t work you will stop. Lysander finds it okay to try. He will lend you his car on Monday. And you two will talk afterwards. You get up to give Lysander a hug. You have to promise that you be honest when it if it is too much. Lysander and you kiss, and the story skips to Monday.
You are in bed in with Lysander and just woke up. You didn’t sleep that well, so you decide to take a shower. When you get back into the room, Lysander is already gone. You find him in the kitchen. Lysander got up to make you some coffee. He even made a thermos flask for on the road. You find him adorable for what he did and give him a kiss. You thank him and tell him that he is the best boyfriend ever. Lysander finds it normal, and he can go back to bed when you have left. You still find it sweet but don’t want him to make a habit of it because otherwise he is the one who gets exhausted. Lysander tells you to not worry about him. You two kiss again, you get your keys and leave.
The drive didn’t take too long, you are right in time for your first class. It is the main auditorium given by Mister Zaidi. He tells you who he is, and that Melody is his assistant. You are curious if you will see Melody here on campus. The story will skip until lunchtime.
You are having lunch in the dinning hall and listen to some students who are sitting at the next table. The conversation is happening between Reese and Emma. There are both on the same room and just met. You remember that you left your bag in your room in the first episode. Someone else must also now have access to the room. You decide that after classes you get your stuff and takes it with you to Lysander. The story will skip again until you have had all your classes for today.
Once you are in your dorm room, there is another suitcase. But your roommate isn’t there. You think that you should tell her what your situation is. But that is for some other day, it is time to go home. The drive home goes quickly. But you feel that you are tired when you got home. You decide to not show it and go to find Lysander in the kitchen.
Lysander has just finished cooking. You two go sit together at the table, and you tell him about your day. He asks if you did see any of your friends, and you didn’t. You will text them to meet up tomorrow. Then you ask Lysander about his day. Lysander’s day went fine, but all the animals missed you. Oboe didn’t even want to eat his cauliflower. Probably because he is just used that you give it to him. You suggest that you can give it now to him. But the duck is probably sleeping right now. He will get used that Lysander gives it to him again. Lysander starts looking at the clock. It is not that late yet. But if you go to sleep now, you have 6 hours of sleep before you have to drive again. You agree with Lysander. You give him a kiss and tell him to not get up so early tomorrow. He promises you that he will prepare everything for your coffee right now, that you only have to add water tomorrow. You thank him and go to bed.
The next day, you feel tired when you get up. You quickly take a shower and make some coffee. When you get to the car, you notice that you didn’t get your suitcase out last night. You plan on doing that tonight when you get home. You quickly drive to the university. There the morning just skips until lunchtime, you didn’t text Rosa or any of your other friends to meet up at lunchtime. And your phone is empty right now. So you eat alone again. The afternoon skips again until you have to drive home. There you find Lysander in the living room. You both talk about your day and then head over to the kitchen for dinner. There you eat, after dinner you go together to bed to watch a movie. You fall in sleep while watching the movie. The next two days will go the same as the last day.
It is finally weekend, but you wake up from a nightmare. It is already 1 o'clock in the afternoon. You enjoyed that you slept in. You get out and find Lysander in the kitchen. He is busy with cooking. You kiss him. And he asks you if you slept well. You tell him that you didn’t and that you had a nightmare. You tell Lysander that in your nightmare, the weekend got canceled. And every day was a school day. You think that this week stressed you out. Then Lysander tells you that the school days of this week aren’t over. It is Friday and not Saturday as you thought. You say that you are very late and have to get to school. Lysander grabs your arm and let you sit down on a chair. If you drive away now, you will come there after your classes are ended. You ask Lysander why he didn’t wake you up. If Lysander had waked you up when he got out of bed, you will still have missed your morning classes. You can’t believe that you had forgotten a whole day. You are about to cry. Lysander hugs you and tell you that it is normal. You are exhausted. Just without your classes, 8 hours driving a day is huge. Lysander is impressed that it didn’t stress you out sooner. You have no reason to blame yourself. And for today, it is definitely too late. You will have to borrow somebody’s else notes. But you probably need that for all your classes. You didn’t manage to pay good attention in the classes you had this week, and you don’t know who to ask because you didn’t make contact with the other students. You were always in a hurry. It is clear that the organization needs to be different. This rhythm is impossible. And on top of that, you aren’t enjoying anything. Not your life here or at school. If you want everything, you don’t have anything. That is true. You thought you could do it all. Actually, you didn’t want to be separated from Lysander again. Lysander doesn’t want that either, but you haven’t seen each other all week. If you stay at campus on the week and come here in the weekend, you two would see each other more. It is only four nights apart if you drive on Friday and Monday. You two have been apart for four years. Lysander is sure that you can manage four days. Plus, you two can call each other in the week. You don’t think that you two will call much. But you don’t really have a choice. Continue like this is a disaster on both sides. You will enjoy your weekend here and go back on Monday to campus and stay there for the week. Lysander agrees with you, but think that you should look on Sunday how you feel and maybe drive on Sunday. Just only for this week because it was so stressful. You know he is right. Any way, Lysander made lunch. You are not really hungry. Lysander convince you to try and soon as you take your first bite, your appetite returns. And it makes you smile. You ask if there is a secret ingredient. But Lysander can’t tell you because it is secret. You won’t insist, but hopes that he wrote it somewhere. He did, but he can’t tell you where. You hope he remembers where, otherwise the world will lost an amazing recipe. Lysander tells you not to worry. Leigh also knows the recipe. Lysander asks what you want to do this afternoon. See the animals and maybe give Oboe cauliflower. You can give him some, he still didn’t want to eat when Lysander try to give it to him. But first you’re going to take a shower.
You take your suitcase out of the car finally and head upstairs. The shower did do you good. You get to choose your outfit. There is only one outfit to pick. Then you run to the kitchen, take some cauliflower and run to the garden. In the garden, you come across Rosa the bunny. This reminds you that you really need to send a message to Rosa. But first you ask the bunny if she knows where you can find Oboe the duck. The bunny hops to the chickens, you follow it and see Oboe coming towards you. The bunny hops further to the pastures. You give Oboe his cauliflower. He is very happy to get it from you again. You walk further to the pastures. Lysander is picking apples. You say hello to all the animals and give them food. When the sun starts to go down, you go back inside.
In the living room, you find Lysander. He asks you how your afternoon went and if it did do you good to see the animals. You really missed them. Lysander is happy that it made you feel better, and what do you want to do tomorrow. You maybe want to go to a little charming place or you two could just stay here all day and lay in bed. Lysander wants to do that in the evening with pleasure, but the whole day would be a bit complicated. The visitors are coming tomorrow. Lysander don’t know how many are coming. But if you help, it will go faster. You like to help, you loved doing it the last time. The story will skip until Sunday afternoon. In the between time, you had help Lysander on the farm and had fun with him. It is time to leave for the university. You will stay this week at the dorms. You and Lysander say goodbye, and you drive to the university.
The drive went quickly. You have to find your room and meet your roommate. Once you enter your room. You meet a girl who tell you to should have knocked. You tell her that you are sorry and didn’t think of that. She tells you that there is no harm done. You tell her that you are roommates. You study the same subject. She noticed that you fall a sleep the other day in class. Her name is Yeleen, and she likes diligent, hard-working people. There is no need to ask her for her notes if you haven’t taken any. You weren’t going to ask. Good, she is sure you two will get along. Yeleen has to leave to meet some friends. You stay in your room. Put away your things, make some homework and talk with Rosa through the phone.
The next day starts. You are able to follow your morning classes actively. Then you have lunch with Alexy and Rosa. Alexy thinks that Yeleen is a little annoying. You haven’t been in your room for a while. Maybe it will work out fine if you get to know her. Rosa still thinks it is better to have a roommate you get along with. Rosa asks Alexy how it is going with his roommate Julien. It was his roommate last year. They weren’t able to get the same room this year. But they still see each other for fun. Rosa thinks you should try to get to know Yeleen. You will try the next time you see her.
The story skips until Wednesday night. You are in your room. Yeleen comes inside singing a Crowstorm song. You start talking with her about Crowstorm. She would love to meet Castiel. You tell her that you know him. Yeleen is surprised. You saw him last weekend. You are dating one of Castiel’s friends, who sometimes write songs for the band. Yeleen doesn’t want to believe you. You tell her that you could introduce her to Castiel. She wants to some time, but she highly doubts that you tell the truth. You have no interest to convince her. She gives one surprised look and leaves the room again. You haven’t talked with Lysander on the phone yet. He always forgets his phone, you don’t like that. You start to really miss him and the farm.
The story skips to the next day. You have some more problem in class focusing. You also feel sleepy. The loneliness is waiting on you. You had nightmares tonight. You think that Lysander doesn’t miss you. At least not enough to check his phone. The story skips to lunch, you are talking about it with Rosa. She thinks you are imagining things. Of course, Lysander misses you. He is not very good with distance, and you know that. That is why you didn’t want to be apart again. But it didn’t work last week. Rosa doesn’t see what else you can do. Alexy agrees with Rosa. You can’t do all the things in one day. So accept the half week here and half week at the farm as compromise. Or you have to choose between them. Rosa says that you can’t leave Lysander just now you found him. You look at her, but Alexy isn’t wrong. You rather stay at the farm with Lysander then be here. But Rosa and Alexy agree you can’t leave school in your last year. You have come so far. You agree with them. But you don’t know. You can’t concentrate good enough in your classes because you miss him. If that continues, you will not be able to get through this year. Rosa and Alexy want you to think good about it, but they will support you whatever you decide. Maybe there is still an option you haven’t thought about. Rosa will try to talk with Melody about it. She will let you know if she found out something. Turns out Melody won’t be available until next week. You will see her on Monday.
That night, Lysander still hasn’t answered any of your text. You hesitate to go to him. But you aren’t going to miss another Friday. If you decide to stay or Melody finds a solution. You have to be at those classes. One day more and you will be with Lysander again. You fall a sleep and the next day starts. The classes could have interested you, but your mind was already at the farm. You weren’t able to pay attention, and you spent the lunch alone. The story will skip until you can finally drive home and see Lysander.
The drive home goes quickly, you find Lysander in the garden. You both run towards each other and you kiss. You missed Lysander, terrible, and everything about this place. Lysander missed you two. You find Lysander in the bedroom. He just came out of the shower, his hair is still wet. You jump in his arms and tell him the good news. Lysander is so happy that you are going to be able to stay here and follow your studies. You tell Lysander Ainsworth that you are going to live with him, if he finds that good. Of course, he finds that good, if it doesn’t interfere with your studies. You tell him not to worry and that you will make sure you finish it and get your degree. It will be much easier for you to study here. He believes you and is deeply moved that you want to live with him.
