“I’m being haunted” it’s Merder/Finn the vet all over again. I’m confident she’ll chose Deluca instead of Link though.

Has anyone figured out which early Meredith love triangle Merluca and Link are paralleling?

Merder and Addison (Meredith representing Derek, Deluca representing Meredith and Link representing Addy)

OR

Merder and Finn (Meredith being herself, Deluca representing Derek and Link representing Finn)

Personally I’m more inclined to the later only because Meredith literally dated both at the same time then chose after her appendix or spleen removal (don’t remember which, but she was loopy lol). Which makes me think that she’ll date Deluca and Link at the same time and then maybe the thing to trigger her choice is either Thatcher’s potential death, something bad happening to CeCe (NOOOO), or a heart to heart with her sisters and/or Alex.

Idk just a thought I’ve been churning in my mind.

While y’all are sitting here freaking out about Merluca’s age difference, which is like not even a big deal. Did y’all forget that Schmico has a way greater age gap??

Furthermore here are some other well loved, by me as well, Grey’s ships with age gaps:

Slexie (and they are like the PINICALE of age gaps cause she was a younger than average intern and he was a more established attending): attending/intern

Merder: attending/intern

Jolex: attending/resident

Crowen: attending/resident

And bonus because I did not ship it: Burke and Cristina: attending/intern. But it wasn’t due to age.

So if we all love these couples with age gaps, then why on earth does merluca “creep” people out? Is it because Meredith is the older one? Because god forbid an older women dates a younger man instead of the reverse. Because it’s not the norm? If that’s your only reason then I’m sorry but your reason is a non issue because then according to your reasoning you don’t ship all the other ships you love. Now if you just don’t like merluca then fine you don’t like them, that’s your choice.

So don’t sit there saying oh my god the age difference ‍♀️‍♀️ it’s bull. You either like Merluca or you don’t, I personally love them, but it’s not because of an age gap, because your other well loved couples also have age gaps.

Again no hate is intended. I love every ship listed on here, I’m just a fed up Merluca fan who is peeved by seeing “age gap is gross”
