That being said… is movie night on Merlin and Arthur’s house, is a Disney Marathon and they decide to watch Encanto since nobody has watched it yet, and Merlin actually traveled to Colombia some decades ago so he is fairly excited
All is fun, fluff and critic over the toxicity of Alma until they get to Surface Pressure, because the now know what Merlin went through during Camelot’s time, they know how he must have felt, and if the lyrics hit too near home for them, how much harder it must be for Merlin?

Specially because Merlin’s writters decided to say fuck it and take all of Merlin’s sacrifices and hard work and throw it through the window by killing Arthur, Merlin must have felt like a failure, all the guilt, the grief, Luisa’s song describes perfectly Merlin’s role during Camelot’s golden era, but unlike Luisa, at the end he never got the break nor the support he needed, he couldn’t save Arthur
Long short story, after they help Merlin go through his meltdown the movie night became a very necessary we love Merlin night
