Behold! ‘Tis my boy Lei, all grown up! He beefy ⁠
Designing his aged-up look was pretty simple, as I imagine Lei himself would like to keep things simple. Of course, he’s no longer so scruffy and unkempt as he was when the Gaang first met him; he’s in a better situation now, and his appearance reflects that. He no longer has to steal for a living, and the Gaang’s kindness and friendship have softened him. He’s still the loud, snarky, obnoxious pickpocket he’s always been, though, and he won’t let anyone forget it!⁠
I added some metal details to his outfit, because I figured he’d badger Toph into teaching him how to metalbend, insisting all the while that he’s the better earthbender, just to get on Toph’s nerves.  He gets a kick out of making her mad, and he’s willing to cross boundaries no one else will to do it. Of course, he’s equally as happy to make her laugh, which he does more often; the two have a similar sense of humor, much to the annoyance of everyone else. XD⁠
