From the world of HellboycomesFrankenstein: New World. The first issue in the four-part comic miniseries will be published on August 3 via Dark Horse Comics.

It’s written by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola, Christopher Golden, and Thomas Sniegoski, with art by Peter Bergting, color by Michelle Madsen, and lettering by Clem Robins. The first issue features a standard cover by Bergting and a variant cover illustrated by Mignola and colored by Dave Stewart. 

Frankenstein: New World is set after the events of B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know, which concluded in 2019 and was presumed to be the end of the Hellboy saga. The synopsis is below.

I recently picked up the first volume of the Hellboy Library Edition and it is just *chef’s kiss* perfect. I adore Mignola’s style and I really wanted to see what HB would look like in mine!

Check it out, Mignola covers lovers!

Feast your eyes on this thing, it’ll be chalk full of Hellboy covers including many that were never released clean until now (such as The Corpse or the Seed of Destruction variant at @3:37), meaning you won’t have to make do with my Photoshopped versions for much longer! Well at least as far as Hellboy goes, there’s still tons of Mike’s non-Mignolaverse covers out there :)

But anyway this is it, the holy grail of Hellboy covers, and it appears to be made with the same quality as the library editions, and as a proud owner of those I can tell you this will be a quality book!
