Inking is still off the table right now but I’m getting on okay with pencil sketching, so here’s the pencils for what will eventually be a new profile image for my Instagram! I’ve been wanting to replace my hat icon with a proper drawing over there (although I’m probably going to keep the hat everywhere else) and my OC Alastair seemed like the natural subject to go for. He’s been on the back of my business cards this whole time, making him the closest thing I’ve got to a mascot-type character, so he gets to wear the space cap. (He’s not usually a hat guy, but gotta stick to The Brand™.)
It’s been the best part of a year since I last drew this nerd, I’ve missed him.

I’m dealing with pain in my hands and arms again so I haven’t been able to draw for a few weeks, but I’ve been poking away at this in order to cheer myself up in the short periods of time when I have been able to hold a pencil. I always seem to fall back on drawing these disasters when I’m stressed out, it’s becoming a bit of a pattern.

I’ve not got a lot of finished art to post right now, so in the meantime here’s a WIP of the Ironwood side of a Ruby-and-Ironwood illustration that I’m working on in between commission stuff. I have a lot of emotions about those two and how they’ve ended up on opposite sides, so I’m drawing something about it.

also ik i said she wouldnt change too much this time but this is just what i’ve been able to do in a week. still very much a WIP though but the only way i can rly figure out what to fix next is to see her moving & talking
