OnJanuary 14th at 8pm EST we will come back online with a brand new map. The new world will begin with The Moss War: a Hunger Games style event in a griefable arena made up of bases from the old world.Though they are a little…. mossy…… Explore the arena for starter gear and relics with special lore, but watch out for other players!

• The world lore guide has been started.Check out the page by clicking here and learn how you can have your character added.

• We hear the talk of resets.All that’s decided at present is that the inner x,y10k blocks of the world will be reset when we update to 1.18. It’s being discussed in staff chat whether we reset the full server. Before any decision will be made, it will go to a community vote. If a reset were to happen, a world download would be provided.

• On updating to 1.18: we are a server that uses third party made plugins for a number of purposes. One of these is a framework that does all kinds of things, including helping with stability, security, and enabling other mods: PaperMC. We are not the makers of PaperMC, and PaperMC have nothing officially to do with Mojang or Microsoft. In order for us to update to 1.18, we need to wait for PaperMC to release a stable build for 1.18. Their alerts have been subscribed to in our Discord in the #kivcraft channel. After we update to 1.18, we will go offline for a period of up to four days.

• Our new spawn is almost ready! Soon it will be way less of a giant mess. It’s already become easier to access the world as soon as you join, with the wild a mere 60 blocks or so from the world spawnpoint. The need to hit a player sign has also been removed. For now, while we work on the new system, new players won’t display with roles in tab. They will still be able to use commands.
