Viren earlier on in 2x06 says something similar to Harrow’s more in-depth letter (that yes, still makes me cry every time) - the lie of history being about epic battles, when in reality it is about something much deeper and more emotional. But it is interesting Harrow phrases it differently: True strength is about vulnerability, forgiveness, and love.Notsacrifice,as Viren phrases it - because the sacrifices that happened weren’t necessary. Also speaks to parallels between Runaan and Viren - “If all goes well, we can accomplish our goals without sacrifice” “We must be willing to sacrifice, even the things we love!” - vs TDP’s thematic Judaism of encouraging values of survival, endurance, and reform > martyrdom.

Wonder Woman v3#27

As much as I love this scene, there’s an error. Donna was adopted by Queen Hipployta and declared the second princess of Themyscira.

This is one of the reasons why the wonderfam isn’t as emphasized in canon as much as other families. There’s so much pressure for Diana to be the perfect ambassador/princess/warrior that there’s hardly room for personal relationships. Donna and Cassie are granted much more freedom but as you can see in this scene, it stops at Diana and they can’t even grieve properly when seeing her on her deathbed.

New Teen Titans vol. 2#19

Garfield Logan is not known for his serious moments. He’s not even that close friends with Donna. But he gave her an incredibly meaningful and honest conversation during one of her greatest periods of growth, that I’m sure she treasures greatly. In four sentences Gar told Donna exactly what she needed to hear, and I don’t think anyone else could’ve done it.
