Once when the gaang visits the Fire Nation, they’re all just on the side of too tipsy when Zuko leans in with the most grave expression imaginable.
“Aang,” Zuko says, “This has been… hauntingme….Whydid your friends need to suck on those frogs?”
And Aang just gasps, and does not explain the frogs, because he has suddenly remembered that Miyuki is still wanted by the Fire Nation and that just won’t do. So Aang demands that Zuko pardon Miyuki for her crimes, which then gets the rest of the gaang to dogpile on and also demand justice for Miyuki.
Zuko is willing to hear him out.
…Zuko is significantly less willing to hear him out when Aang mentions that Miyuki is a cat.

But because they are all the worst, he relents and they all drunkenly stumble down to go find the records of Miyuki’s crimes and write her up a pardon, much to the chagrin of the night-shift archivist.
Zuko, staring blankly at Miyuki’s rap sheet:

Zuko:
Zuko: I don’t …. I don’t think I can pardon this…
Sokka: It can’t be that bad! Let me see-
Sokka:
Zuko: You see what I mean?
Toph:Is anyone going to tell me what it says or am I just going to have to wait in suspense?
Would be funny if even Aang rescinded his plea for a pardon after reading the rap sheet.
Here is Miyuki, she will be six months old on December 28. “Santa Claus” brought her a Christmas gift because she is a good puppy. She is so happy with her new toy. It’s her first Christmas. She looks so cute!
Now of course we’re all geared up for the possibility of Eijun being switched in and holding the line till the end. Depending on what happens next…since, despite the quality of Mei’s last pitch in this chapter, Seidou could absolutely still score here.
I noticed some spoilers circulating saying that Furuya was struck out. I don’t know where that came from but it’s not true, at least not for this week.
The chapter ends with Furuya at bat. It’s one out, runners on 1st (Zono) and 2nd (Miyuki) with one strike and no balls. All to play for next chapter still, though a double play is obviously not off the table here if Furuya screws up.
Also, the chapter title, The Team I Admire (憧れのチーム）, is in relation to Inajitsu Captain, Fukui, who has a rather disturbing fan obsession with Inajitsu, rather than Zono. Although I’m sure Seidou are the team he admires too ;)
It may be wrong of me but I do wish this were one of those times Furuya scored an insane and unpredicted home run just at random and made the scoreline a lot more friendly. But I don’t see that happening, because Terajima-sensei likes to stretch out the pain.

This time I picked a movie, tokyo godfathers is one of my fave holiday movies and I wanted to add it to the list
variety of design work! reworking some of the lady’s outfits, mapping kyuugo’s scars, and making sure i dont draw tobii and miyuki too similar. still trying to figure our her pigtails!
