Curse words, weird raps, Hayasaka finally telling Kaguya how she actually feels, her friendship with Shirogane, Fujiwara intensive moments God this episode was too funny! And the ending??

I loved the interaction between Kaguya and Ishigami and I swear these people it’s going insane, I laughed so much with todays episode

“Kaguya-Sama” chapter 264 is apparently rehashing the plot point that Kaguya has problems calling Miyuki other names. Also, we learn that Miyuki wants to call Kaguya by her first name, but struggles to do so.

I know I’ve been extra harsh on the series recently, but I mean…come on. Seriously? These two are still having this issue when they literally had sex several chapters ago? It’s starting to feel like we’re regressing the relationship instead of moving it forward. 

Maybe it’s time to switch the POV back to Ishigami and Miko, because Kaguya and Miyuki aren’t really doing anything important right now.

The concept of “Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie” is so bizarre to me, mainly because it feels like not a lot of thought went into it. The trailer literally introduces Shikimori as a girl who is really cute…but SOMETIMES…she can be cool!

Immediately, my first thought was, “Why is it a big deal that she can be cool? Last time I checked, cuteness and coolness aren’t mutually exclusive.” Also, the premise is so basic that it feels like the show doesn’t have a major draw to pull viewers in. They’re basically saying, “female protagonist is cute and cool”, that’s about it. I don’t know what she likes or what her personality is, aside from the fact that she’s dedicated to protecting her boyfriend. 

In comparison to “My Dress-Up Darling” which was another romcom anime that came out this year, at least Marin Kitagawa is written like a fully-defined person (she loves to cosplay, she watches anime, she plays video games, she’s into NSFW stuff, she’s not afraid to show off her body, she likes shopping, she’s a social butterfly, she’s open-minded to people’s hobbies, she doesn’t like it when people take advantage of other people, she’s empathetic, she’s clumsy, she can’t cook but tries her hardest, she gets jealous, etc.). And, to be honest, that makes Marin the more interesting character.

Anyways, the main takeaway here is…Kaguya-Sama season 3 is still probably the best romcom anime of this season.
