Grime is taking the world by storm by this year and the artist’s involved really don’t care what you have to say. Skepta alongside grime artiste such as Wiley, Stormzy and my personal favourite Little Simz are making massive moves on world stages. From festivals to sold out shows across the globe. 

Grime is also taking over the fashion scene and they are beautifully unapologetic for the honesty of their music.

Here’s a video to ‘queen shit’ from Olawumi’s forthcoming EP ‘Crowns’. This minimalist video gives me so much 90′s Erykah Badu if she ever decided to go ‘soul trap’. 

She’s one of the first I’ve heard falling under the genre soul-trap and I hope more artist get on this train because it could be something amazing.

The glitchy visuals and the green turbante-se ooze so much coolness.

She definitely has to be my favourite british female artist after Amy Winehouse. Her musical presence is beyond me combined with the fact she’s a lyrical genius. Her music transitions from swiftly uplifting to incredibly melancholic. The new album is going to be something special.

I love how down to earth Kendrick is in this video. Every extra in it is telling their own individual story but uniting in a new tale. Everything he does has a meaning to it.  I value Kendrick Lamar’s originality, individuality, loyalty to his culture and his simplicity.

GIG ALERT - Frank Ocean and James Blake

I guess my “find Frank Ocean friday” worked. Frank Ocean and James blake after several weeks of secrecy, have finally announced that they will be going on taking the stage together this week. These shows are however club nights rather than gigs.

They have nights booked in Manchester, Bristol tonight and London on sunday. However there is a catch, the tickets for both Bristol and Manchester are sold out but you can only get tickets for the london show at the door on sunday so the queue is going to be nuts. Early arrival is advised if you do decide to go.

Two of the most talented male artist sharing the same stage. 

Clearly the best thing since sliced bread.
