My fellow nonblack members of the LGBTQ+ community. If you honestly think that we as a community have the ability to stay silent on the current events happening in the United States you are dead wrong. We have the privilege of having our current rights because of black voices. Do you remember Marsha P. Johnson? Do you not know the history? Did you forget Stonewall? To stay silent on the protests of the current day is the same as betraying the women, men, and others who had protected US. Do you not understand? Black people have protected us. Many of them ARE us.
I want to bring up though I should not bring up our history to make any of YOU realize that black lives matter.
Black lives matter. They’ve always mattered. Not just because many of them participated in Stonewall and other protests and ended up helping us.
If you are part of the community, if you do not realize our history… if you do not recognize that we OWE it to the black community to help, then I am not sorry to tell you that you do not belong in our community
If you are pro LGBTQ+, you are also pro Black Lives Matter. It does not matter what excuses you have

BLACK PEOPLE SUPPORTING LGBTQ+ RIGHTS IS NOT THE ONLY REASON TO WHY WE SHOULD SUPPORT THE BLACK LIVES MATTER MOVEMENT!!
We should always support black lives! It isn’t a transaction! Their lives matter and they always should! No excuses!
Black people supporting ourmovement is just a reminder that by ignoring them, we also ignore our own history!
This DOESN’T MEAN that this is why black lives matter.
Black lives matter because they are PEOPLE. NOT because they did something for us
do u ever just get really excited bc one day ur gonna be settled down with the woman u love and ur gonna have a dog that jumps on ur bed to wake the two of you up on a lazy saturday morning and maybe from the distance u’ll hear the pitter pattering of ur kids feet as they run into ur room to jump on the bed too and then ur girl is gonna make u all breakfast and ur gonna look at her with all of the love in the world in ur eyes bc ur so happy and u can’t believe u ever thought u wouldn’t get to have this!!!
If someone asks you if your “a Gay/Lesbian/etc” in That Tone™, its okay to say no,especially if saying yes is potentially endangering to you and puts you at risk for ridicule and humiliation.
You’re not denying yourself or misrepresenting the community, you’re protecting yourself and that’s your number one priority.
