Balto laughed as the little pup licked his chin incessantly. A pure joy broke across his face as the pups tail began to wag in delight.
“What are you doing little one? That tickles, I don’t want to drop you!”
The pup didn’t listen, Balto wasn’t speaking in beast tounge, yet somehow he knew that the pup in his arms wouldn’t care as it joyfully lapped at his face.
Balto’s own tail began to twitch back and forth as his own jubilation became too much to hide completely.
Freya watched in quiet disbelief. The hound of a partner, this wild and violent punk of a boy, seemed like a completely different person when in the company of a puppy. She couldn’t help but cover her smile with a gloved hand as she listened to the cheerful pleas Balto made to the excited fluff ball in his arms.
She felt a thought pierce her conscious mind without warning, a thought that filled her heart with a strange feeling she couldn’t describe in that moment.
