Cerro Amigos is the highest point (6,000ft) in the Monteverde reserve. On a clear day, you can see Arenal, the Pacific, and even across the border north to Nicaragua.

Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve
Near the town of the same name, in the Tilarán Mountains, this reserve protects a 26,000-acre tract of virgin rainforest consisting of six different eco zones and tremendous biodiversity.

Just started vol. 4 of my Diary last week!

Which means, of course, I’M RUNNING OUT OF STICKERS! Since I add at least one to every entry, there are over 500 in there so far.
A Monteverde c’è una villa con una storia da scoprire: oggi è un parco pubblico ma fino al 1930 era abitata da una coppia molto ricca di collezionisti tedeschi.
Furono loro a costruire l’uccelliera liberty, che ancora si può vedere dall'ingresso di Via Dandolo, per essere adibita all’allevamento dei pavoni bianchi.
